One of my favorite “newer” restaurants that the Walt Disney World Resort has introduced is Geyser Point Bar & Grill<\/a>. Situated along the shores of Bay Lake at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge<\/a>, this peaceful bar\/lounge area is a nice respite for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Magic Kingdom while grabbing a nice meal or having a great drink.<\/p>\n The restaurant itself is an open air location kind of near the pool with a giant bar in the middle and comfy couch and chair seating around the outer perimeter. There is a quick service stop right next door, however, you cannot order from the quick service location and sit here any longer. Now Guests must go up to the Cast Member there and put your name down on the list and can order from the menu. (Which is the same as the one from the counter service location, with a few additions.) When a table is ready, you will be texted. This was a change from my first visit to Geyser Point where it was a free-for-all for a table and I’m quite happy to see that they’ve made this change.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The menu is one that is simple, yet rustic. Items include Crispy Fried Oysters, Edamame, a Carcuterie board, Lump Crab Cake Sandwich, Grilled Portobello Salad, and a Bison Cheeseburger.<\/p>\n\n I got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It’s served with a Chili Aioli, Lettuce, and Tomato on an artisan roll. I got the Waffle Fries with it, but you can choose from a Multigrain Salad too.<\/p>\n I found the sandwich to be quite good. Very fresh, with a good breading on the thick chicken breast. The chili aioli did have a bit of a kick to it. I found the waffle fries to be fine, but they feel a bit over cooked. (These are not Chic-fil-a waffle fries, even though it’s clear that’s what they are trying to mimic.)<\/p>\n Another member of my party got the teriyaki chicken wings, which I myself debated getting. There were six wings that were tossed in the teriyaki sauce and then sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions. These were quite meaty and a good snack for those who aren’t starving, but just want something to nosh on.<\/p>\n It’s been over a year and a half<\/a> since I’ve visited Geyser Point and I think that it’s maintained its status.
