Today, I am onboard the Disney Magic, sailing away at sea! It’s a glorious cruise to Canada, where I’m getting to also experience Halloween on the High Seas! So, because I’m enjoying ocean fun today (it is one of my at sea days!) I wanted to share some details about another unique dining opportunity, on another Disney Cruise Line ship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the Disney Fantasy<\/a>, Disney (relatively) recently introduced the Sweet on You Ice Cream Shop. This location can be found in the former area of the arcade.<\/p>\n

The snack shop is adorable! It feels like an old timey ice cream shop, with lots of Mickey and Minnie touches! My favorite thing in here is the Minnie and Mickey Mouse statue where they are sitting at a table sharing a milkshake. The shop isn’t very big, but they have a lot of great options to choose from.<\/p>\n

Guests who visit here are able to enjoy delicious ice cream sweets and confections, however, there is one tiny catch. Unlike the majority of the ship’s food, Sweet on You’s items do cost money. However, I will say that pricing here is not terrible, all things considered. For example, two scoops of ice cream is $3.95, a cupcake costs $2.50, and rice krispy bars cost $1.95.<\/p>\n

On my visit here, my husband and I decided we wanted to try two scoops of ice cream. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and he got the strawberry cheesecake. The ice cream was so rich and creamy! It had a great vanilla flavor and the cookie dough gave a nice chocolate surprise. The strawberry cheesecake had nice chunks of cheesecake in it, but wasn’t either of our favorite.<\/p>\n

However, that’s not all this shop offers. They also do offer some pre-packaged items to take home from the Goofy’s Candy Company line, as well as some bulk candy options.<\/p>\n

While I can certainly understand the hesitation to make a stop for gelato or ice cream here at Sweet On You, since it does carry an extra cost, and there is technically ice cream available very easily with Eye Scream’s soft serve. However, I can tell you that with the “small” amount you have to pay to grab a treat, it’s definitely worth considering grabbing one or two during your cruise.<\/p>\n
