The Tangierine Cafe<\/a>, located in Epcot’s<\/a> Morocco Pavilion in the World Showcase, is one of my favorite quick service dining locations in all of the Walt Disney World Resort.\u00a0 Although the Tangierine Cafe may not be as popular as places that offer cuisines familiar to many families, it’s a great place to grab a quick meal.<\/p>\n

Atmosphere<\/h2>\n

The Tangierine Cafe transports diners to an open air Moroccan cafe.\u00a0 There are two seating areas.\u00a0 One is outside and is mostly under cover from the sun or rain.<\/p>\n

The other seating area is inside, but this restaurant does not have air conditioning.\u00a0 The open entrances and ceiling fans make the temperature comfortable.\u00a0 During the hot months, I try my best to snag a seat indoors.<\/p>\n

The attention to detail in the restaurant’s design is amazing!\u00a0 Colorful mosaic tiles adorn the tables, doors, and walls.\u00a0 High ceilings and the open air atmosphere add to feeling as if truly dining in Morocco.\u00a0 I have yet to see a Cast Member without a welcoming smile.<\/p>\n

The Food<\/h2>\n

A menu is posted at the main entrance so diners can get an overview of dining options and prices.\u00a0 All adult entrees are Moroccan-based, making the Tangierine Cafe an ideal spot to get a unique meal.\u00a0 For less adventurous adults and children, the Kid’s Meals offer burgers and chicken tenders.<\/p>\n

Food is ordered at the counter where Cast Members can describe menu items to those with questions.\u00a0 There is an area in the back that sells adult beverages including beer, wine, and cocktails.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My favorite entree is the Shawarma Platter.\u00a0 The platter can be with lamb, chicken, or a combination of lamb and chicken.\u00a0 I opted for the Lamb Shawarma Platter.\u00a0 In addition to the meat, the platter includes Hummus, a Couscous Salad, Tabouleh, and Moroccan bread.<\/p>\n

I enjoy everything in the platter, but the Lamb and Tabouleh are the stars of the show!\u00a0 The lamb is tender and is accompanied with a flavorful tzatziki sauce.\u00a0 Combining the lamb with a little bread and tzatziki is similar to a gyro in taste.\u00a0 The Tabouleh is refreshing, especially on a hot day.<\/p>\n

The Couscous Salad is served cold and is a bit more bland than the Tabouleh.\u00a0 Hummus and bread complete the platter.\u00a0 If you want just a taste of Moroccan food, this would be an easy meal to share.\u00a0 Moroccan Mint Tea is my beverage of choice at the Tangierine Cafe.<\/p>\n

The Tangierine Cafe offers a variety of desserts, and the baklava is a top choice for me.<\/p>\n
