Morimoto Asia, located in the heart of Disney Springs<\/a>, offers guest Pan-Asian cuisine for lunch and dinner. There are even some street food and late night dining options if you are looking for something small or a quick bite before heading back to your hotel for the night. \u00a0In a sea of American and Italian dining options,\u00a0Morimoto Asia<\/a> stands out as a more unique cuisine at Disney Springs.<\/p>\n

As is the case with many restaurants at Disney Springs, reservations are recommended. We walked up to the restaurant on a weekend, however, and were able to get a reservation for 8:00 p.m. once the dinner crowds had died down a little. We passed the time by checking out some of the stores and the wait did not seem long at all. By the time our reservation rolled around though, I was sufficiently hungry and ready to check it out.<\/p>\n

The interior of Morimoto Asia is stunning. It features an open, two-story floor plan with high ceilings and elaborate chandeliers. It really gives you the feeling that this is an upscale restaurant. There is a bar area downstairs, just off the main dining room as well as a sushi bar upstairs.<\/p>\n

The menu includes drinks, appetizers, sushi, entrees, and desserts. Most starters are around $11-$12. There are some sushi dishes that will feed 3-6 people that are priced upward of $100, but most entrees are in the $20-$35 range. Cocktails are generally $13-$14 which seems pretty standard for Disney Springs. Of course, every restaurant varies.<\/p>\n

We started off with crispy popcorn shrimp tempura. This shrimp had a creamy sauce with just a little bit of kick. The portion size was great. Although it is classified as a small plate, it was definitely enough to share with several people as an appetizer. Since there were only two of us, this turned out to be almost the size of an entr\u00e9e. I really enjoyed this, but my husband thought it was a little bit on the saucy side. I often judge meals by their sauces, so it\u2019s no wonder that I liked this one so much.<\/p>\n

Next, I also ordered a lychee martini.\u00a0 This, I loved! It was so light and refreshing. A great drink for a warm spring or summer day. I would certainly order it again.<\/p>\n

Since we were already somewhat full from the shrimp, we decided to split the Morimoto chicken fried rice as our entr\u00e9e. This dish turned out to be exactly what I expected. Plump bites of chicken in a bed of perfectly fried rice. This dish also had a bit of a kick. Actually, a bit more of a kick than I expected. It was delicious though and we finished it all!<\/p>\n

Even with splitting two items, we were quite full and ended up passing on dessert. I was a bit sad about this because the churro fondue sounded delicious and fun. Oh well. I enjoyed Morimoto Asia and am fairly certain I will be back to try that on another day!<\/p>\n
