I am always looking for fun modern ways to infuse Disney into our d\u00e9cor.\u00a0 I like the look of having small touches to surround us to the magic.\u00a0 You have most likely seen that super popular \u201cGather\u201d sign that everyone is using to decorate with, be it in their entry way or porch, everyone has one.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t want to be like everyone and again I wanted my porch d\u00e9cor to be Disney related.\u00a0 This\u00a0DIY Outdoor\/Patio Disney Wood Sign was the answer!<\/p>\n

This Disney song came to mind for the inspiration to the project:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair As the dining room proudly presents Your dinner! Be our guest, be our guest\u201d- Disney’s Beauty and the Beast<\/em><\/p>\n

I wanted to bring some flare to a section of siding between our kitchen window and patio doors that you can see when you are sitting on our patio.\u00a0 I wanted to hang an inviting sign for our guests.\u00a0 So I headed out to our local hardware\/wood store and looked through the scraps till I found a piece that was nice and flat.\u00a0 With a little light sanding and a coat of stain it was quickly turning into something fantastic!<\/p>\n

This DIY sign all-in cost me at most seven dollars.\u00a0 Like most of my projects, either I have 75% of the supplies already or I head over to my Pops house, he always has a good selection of open stains to choose from.<\/p>\n

Once the stain dried on the wood I took some white paint and stenciled on the saying \u201cBe our Guest\u201d, of course I added a small mickey to the end of the wording, everyone loves a hidden mickey!<\/p>\n

You can really make this sign fit any of your favorite Disney quotes depending on where you are going to hang it.<\/p>\n

I found these really cool siding clips.\u00a0 They allow you to hang things on your house siding without having to put holes in it. By taking two nails and some picture hanging wire you can rig up the back of the wood sign to hang off of the siding clips.<\/p>\n

Many summer nights were spend under our lights enjoying time with friends and family, having them as our guests!<\/p>\n
