This child-friendly approach to the importance of\u00a0family, life, and death is, for me, the best movie Pixar Animation Studio has ever produced. The movie was first released in Mexico on October 27th, the weekend before\u00a0<em>D\u00eda de los Muertos<\/em>, and instantly became Mexico\u2019s highest-grossing animated movie ever. The\u00a0Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) in Mexico City hosted the premiere on October 24th with the revenue of all ticket sales benefiting CECAM, the\u00a0Center for Music Training and Development of the Mixe Culture, as well as families affected by the recent earthquake.<\/p>\n<p>The movie was released over\u00a0the Thanksgiving weekend in the United States. By December 10th,\u00a0<em>Coco<\/em> had grossed\u00a0$390,018,962 worldwide<span class=\"attribute\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-59853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Coco1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Coco1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Coco1-400x267.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Coco1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Coco<\/em> revolves around Miguel, who dreams of becoming an accomplished musician\u2014despite his family\u2019s baffling, generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events during the celebration of the\u00a0<em>D\u00eda de los Muertos<\/em>. The marketplace has lots of great Mexican art for sale.
