The Beach Club Villas<\/em><\/p>\n

Are you planning a Walt Disney World<\/a> vacation with a large group that won\u2019t fit comfortably in a standard hotel room? Do you want to cook some of your meals yourself? Do you want to have the convenience of a washer and dryer right in your unit? Or maybe you just want to have a lot of space in which to relax? (After all, this IS a vacation!)<\/p>\n

If so, you may want to consider Disney’s Deluxe Villa<\/a> accommodations. Part of the Disney timeshare known as the Disney Vacation Club<\/a>, these units are also available to rent by the general public. In general, you can choose from a studio, one bedroom, two bedrooms, and sometimes even three bedroom units. Each Deluxe Villa Resort boasts its own theme. Here is an overview of each Disney Deluxe Villa:<\/p>\n

ANIMAL KINGDOM VILLAS<\/a><\/h3>\n

Located on the grounds of the majestic Animal Kingdom Lodge, these villas are themed towards the safari lodges of Africa. Throughout the resort, you will find viewing areas where you can gaze onto a savanna populated by real African wildlife. Many of the Villas offer a view into the savanna, so you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the animals!<\/p>\n

BAY LAKE TOWER<\/a><\/h3>\n

\n

The Bay Lake Tower Villas are adjacent to the futuristic Contemporary Resort, making it a great place to stay for people who want to visit the Magic Kingdom often. The Tower is 15 stories high, affording people who stay here breathtaking views. All the amenities of the Contemporary Resort are accessible by the Sky Way Bridge.<\/p>\n

BEACH CLUB VILLAS<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Beach Club Villas, adjacent to the Beach Club Resort, share that resort\u2019s seaside escape theme. The massive pool that is also shared with the Yacht Club, Stormalong Bay, is a major selling point, as is the very easy access to Epcot. It\u2019s about a five minute walk to the International Gateway entrance, making this a great place to stay during the Food and Wine Festival.<\/p>\n

BOARDWALK VILLAS<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Boardwalk Villas, adjacent to the Boardwalk Inn, are themed to beachfront boardwalks so popular during the turn of the twentieth century. The Boardwalk is also within walking distance to Epcot.<\/p>\n

OLD KEY WEST<\/a><\/h3>\n

This resort was the first Disney Vacation Club property. As its name implies, it is themed to the laid back vacation lifestyle of the Florida Keys. The Villas are interspersed throughout several buildings, and there is no standard hotel adjacent to it, making it seem more peaceful and quiet than many of the other resorts.<\/p>\n

It offers one table service restaurant, Olivia\u2019s, a quick service location known as Goods to Go, two bars, and limited room service. Four pools, four whirlpools, a children\u2019s playground, a tennis court, and an arcade are some of the most popular recreational offerings at this resort.<\/p>\n

Bus service takes you to all the theme parks and water parks, and there is a lovely boat ride that will take you to Disney Springs.<\/p>\n

POLYNESIAN VILLAS<\/a><\/h3>\n

One of the newest Villa locations at Walt Disney World (and the one my parents bought in to!), the Villas and Bungalows here share a theme with the adjacent Polynesian Village. The most exciting (and most expensive) units here are the Bungalows which look directly out onto the water and sleep eight. You\u2019ll be transported to a lush tropical retreat, and immersed in the sights and sounds of the islands. This resort is on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop.<\/p>\n\n

SARATOGA SPRINGS<\/a><\/h3>\n

\n

This resort has gone through several name changes over the past few decades. The newest change has given it an upstate New York horse racing theme. In addition to the standard studios, one, two and three-bedroom units you\u2019ll find at the other resorts, Saratoga Springs is home to the charming Treehouse Villas, large octagons surrounded by woods, that sleep nine.<\/p>\n

The resort features three pools, including a feature pool that seems carved out of rock, with zero-depth entry, a water slide. There are three whirlpools and a children\u2019s splash area.<\/p>\n

The resort features three restaurants, two bars, a barbecue pavilion that guests may use, and pizza delivery. Bus transportation takes you to all theme parks and water parks and Disney Springs, which is also accessible via a walkway. (It takes about 15 minutes to walk there.)<\/p>\n

WILDERNESS LODGE – BOULDER RIDGE<\/a><\/h3>\n

The first Villas to open adjacent to Wilderness Lodge share that resort\u2019s theme of a beautiful National Parks Lodge. The fireplace in the lobby is a wonderful place to curl up on a chilly winter night. (Yes, it sometimes gets cold in Central Florida!)<\/p>\n

WILDERNESS LODGE – COPPER CREEK<\/a><\/h3>\n

The newest Villas at Walt Disney World can be found at Copper Creek, which is adjacent to the Boulder Ridge Villas. In addition to studios, one, two and three bedroom villas, there are large, spacious cabins that can sleep eight and include a fireplace, a screened in porch and a hot tub.<\/p>\n

VILLAS AT THE GRAND FLORIDIAN<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Deluxe<\/p>\n

These Villas are adjacent to the Grand Floridian Resort and share that resort\u2019s elegant Victorian design. The Villas are themed after the film I consider to be Walt Disney\u2019s masterpiece, Mary Poppins. The Villas here share amenities and transportation (including the monorail) with the Grand Floridian Resort.<\/p>\n
