items (items included in the booking price) that I make sure I take advantage of when I am cruising.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before you depart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/disneycruise.disney.go.com\/cruise-planning-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Free Planning DVD<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/disneycruise.disney.go.com\/faq\/preparing-for-cruise\/character-calls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Character Call<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>While on board:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All You Can Eat Meals<\/strong> &#8211; The meals in the main dining rooms are all included in your trip, and you are welcome to order as much as you will eat. \u00a0Want 2 entrees? \u00a03 appetizers? \u00a04 desserts? \u00a0No problem. \u00a0Do the kids want to order from the adult menu? \u00a0Adults want to order from the kids menu? \u00a0Don&#8217;t like the menu items and just want a steak? \u00a0No problem. \u00a0If it is on the ship, they will try to make it happen for you for no additional cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-54495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/DSC00131.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"331\" height=\"269\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Fast&#8221; Food<\/strong> &#8211; On the pool deck you will find a wide variety of food choices that are all included in your adventure. \u00a0From fruit and salads to burgers and fries, there is something available for everyone. \u00a0Hours are posted at each service station.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chocolate<\/strong> &#8211; Each night your room attendant will leave chocolate treats on your pillow.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fountain Drinks<\/strong> &#8211; There are self-serve drink stations on the pool deck. \u00a0These are open 24\/7, and you are welcome to consume as much as you like. \u00a0Soda, iced tea, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and milk are typically available.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Release Movies<\/strong> &#8211; Any Disney films that are showing in theaters stateside are typically shown on board the ship as well. \u00a0If a new movie is being released while you are onboard, Disney Cruise Line will generally have a 12:01am\u00a0showing the day it is released, so you can be first to see the new films for free. \u00a0For some of the more popular movies, you may need to get (free) tickets from guest services to reserve your seat.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Movie Treats<\/strong> &#8211; There is a shop outside of the movie theater that sells popcorn and soda. \u00a0Save your cash here by getting free sodas and snacks up on the pool deck and taking them to the movie with you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ice Cream<\/strong> &#8211; Some ships have ice cream shops that cost an extra fee, but all ships have self-serve ice cream machines on the pool deck that do not have an extra charge. \u00a0Flavors change daily. \u00a0My daughter&#8217;s favorite treat is to get chocolate chip cookies from one of the deck restaurants and take them to the ice cream stand to make an ice cream sandwich.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Iron<\/strong> &#8211; Available in the laundry rooms throughout the ship. \u00a0(Okay, not the most fun freebie, but good to know!)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bandanas<\/strong> &#8211; On pirate night, Pirate Mickey bandanas will magically appear in your cabin for each member of your party.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5K<\/strong> &#8211; If you are a runner (or a walker!), sign up onboard for the Castaway Cay 5K. \u00a0Unlike most 5K events, this one is free, and you receive a fun Mickey Medal for finishing. \u00a0Bonus: \u00a0The 5K runners are the first to leave the ship on Castaway Cay!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-54500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/DSC00637.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"395\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kids Clubs<\/strong> &#8211; These are available from guest services upon request, and make a great addition to a scrapbook once you get home.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Buttons for Celebrations<\/strong> &#8211; Celebrating a birthday? \u00a0Anniversary? \u00a0Did someone lose a tooth while you were onboard? \u00a0Check with guest services to see if they have a special button for your celebration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Birthday Dessert<\/strong> &#8211; These guides are delivered daily to your stateroom, and are not only a great resource for what is happening around the ship, but also make great scrapbooking additions when you get home.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pom-poms<\/strong> &#8211; On embarkation day, attend the Sail Away party on the pool deck. \u00a0Cast Members typically hand out pom-poms.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cove Cafe Treats<\/strong> &#8211; There is a for-purchase specialty coffee shop on board called &#8220;Cove Cafe.&#8221; \u00a0Although the coffee costs extra, you can pick up deluxe treats from there and enjoy them on the pool deck with your free coffee from the drink station.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Room Service<\/strong> &#8211; Room service is available 24\/7. \u00a0There is a list of available items in the guidebook in your stateroom. \u00a0We love the All Hands on Deck cheese platter to tide us over before dinner, and every night we order a carafe of coffee and Mickey Ice Cream bars. \u00a0We enjoy the ice cream as a treat before bed, and the coffee stays hot until morning when we can enjoy it on the Verandah without leaving the room or waking the kids with a new room service delivery. \u00a0*Note: \u00a0Although room service is all included, please remember to tip the Cast Members who deliver the room service.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Cake of the Day<\/strong> &#8211; Don&#8217;t miss the main entertainment each night in the Walt Disney Theater. \u00a0The shows are spectacular. \u00a0Bring your own drinks from the pool deck.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spa Raffle<\/strong> &#8211; Various spa treatments and opportunities are raffled off on the first day of the cruise. \u00a0Check the navigator for times and details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internet Data Package<\/strong> &#8211; Create an account on embarkation day to receive 50 mb of data for free. \u00a0On non-working vacations that was more than enough to get me through the week. \u00a0Make sure you visit the internet service desk to ask them to turn off any unnecessary applications before you set up the package, or you will find that your 50 mb disappears immediately!<\/li>\n<li><strong>On Board Activities<\/strong> &#8211; Mickey 500 (potato races), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/2015\/04\/jack-jacks-incredible-diaper-dash\/\">Jack Jack&#8217;s Incredible Diaper Dash<\/a> (adorable baby races), game shows, crafts, dance parties&#8230; This changes periodically, but typically includes some type of DCL bag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are traveling with a <strong>baby or toddler<\/strong>, you might wish to also take advantage of these free options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strollers<\/strong> &#8211; Strollers are available from guest services on a first come, first served basis. \u00a0They require a deposit to insure the return of the stroller, but it is yours to use for the duration of the cruise both on and off the ship, and the deposit is refunded when you return the stroller. \u00a0This was quite handy for us when the airline accidentally sent ours to the wrong city.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bottle Warmers &amp; Sterilizers<\/strong> &#8211; This is available at guest services when you board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diaper Genie<\/strong> &#8211; Have your travel agent request this ahead of time, and it will be in your room when you arrive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pack &amp; Play<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0Have your travel agent request this ahead of time, and it will be in your room when you arrive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fresh baby food<\/strong> &#8211; You can let your dining room team know each night what you would like for your little to eat the following evening, and they will have it ready and waiting when you arrive at the dining room so your baby does not have to wait to eat. \u00a0They will happily puree\u00a0any food items they have on board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wagons<\/strong> &#8211;
