Do you have a favorite Disney character? \u00a0I certainly do! For as long as I can remember, The Little Mermaid has been my favorite Disney movie and Ariel has been my favorite princess. So when I heard that there were Little Mermaid themed rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort<\/a>, I knew I HAD to stay there.<\/p>\n

Not-so-little Mermaid by the Pool<\/em><\/p>\n

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort features standard rooms as well as family suites, so it is a great option no matter what size party you have. The Little Mermaid rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests, while the suites would be well-suited for a larger party.<\/p>\n

The Little Mermaid Themed Room<\/em><\/p>\n

One advantage of booking a Disney resort in advance is that your MagicBands<\/a> can be shipped to your home ahead of time. As with all Disney resorts, your MagicBand will serve as your room key. If you would like, you can link a credit card to your band so that you can make purchases on your vacation. \u00a0You will also be able to scan your Magic Band to use any FastPasses<\/a> that you have selected.<\/p>\n

I chose to take advantage of the online check-in prior to my trip and received a text when my room was ready. The text listed the room and building numbers. Since my MagicBand allowed me to access the room, there was no need to check in at the front desk. This made the check in process super easy. We went straight to our room upon arrival.<\/p>\n

I loved the decor of the room! \u00a0The Under the Sea theme was present from the carpet to the walls. Everything had a little bit of ocean flair! Even the interior of the shower was decorated to look like Ariel\u2019s grotto.<\/p>\n

King Triton Guards the Pool<\/em><\/p>\n

After settling into the room, we decided to check out the rest of the hotel. Our first stop was the pool, where the Little Mermaid theme continued. There were larger than life structures of all of my favorite characters from the movie. Everyone from King Triton to Ursula, who loomed ominously over the pool.<\/p>\n

We then ventured over to other areas of the hotel where we found another pool that featured a Finding Nemo theme. We also wandered around the Lion King and Cars themed areas. These were just as elaborately decorated as the other sections of the hotel. I really enjoyed just walking around and looking at everything.<\/p>\n

The following morning, we walked over to the Landscape of Flavors <\/a>for breakfast. There were hot breakfast items like bacon, eggs, pancakes, and waffles. If you find yourself in a hurry, there are also grab-and-go pastries and other quick food items. At lunch and dinner time, pizza, pasta, and burgers are available. We only stopped in at breakfast, but it was tasty, and I imagine the lunch\/dinner options are as well.<\/p>\n

It was very busy at breakfast time, but we grabbed a hot breakfast rather quickly and were ready to go to the park for the day. Of course we had to make a quick stop in the gift shop on our way. They too had a little bit of everything in there. We took a look around and I made a quick pin purchase before heading out.<\/p>\n

\"Disney's<\/p>\n

The Lion King<\/em><\/p>\n

Although Disney’s Art of Animation Resort falls in the \u201cvalue\u201d category, it doesn’t really feel like a value resort. The theming and amenities are everything that I have come to expect in a Disney resort. We were able to eat, sleep, and shop while still feeling like we were in the middle of the Disney Magic. I am already looking forward to saying here again.<\/p>\n
