Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is an awesome, interactive, and free (with your paid park admission) experience offered daily at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios.\u00a0 Jedi Training is based on the Jedi teachings of the Star Wars series.\u00a0 Participants must be between 4 and 12 years of age.\u00a0 The young Jedi-hopefuls are trained by a Jedi master and apprentice and are given the chance to test out their new skills fighting Darth Vader or Kylo Ren.\u00a0 Participants are given robes and lightsabres to use during the training, giving the audience countless photo opportunities.\u00a0 The newly trained Jedi are given certificates of completion at the end of the experience.<\/p>\n
As you can imagine, signing up for Jedi Training can be a little tricky as this experience is in high demand.\u00a0 There are a set number of shows daily, typically around 15.\u00a0 Each show has a capacity of around 20 participants, creating an issue with supply and demand.\u00a0 If Jedi Training is a priority to you and your child, you will want to know some strategies for success in getting this accomplished.<\/p>\n
First, you must be at Hollywood Studios at rope drop.\u00a0 If the park has a scheduled opening of 9:00 a.m., be there no later than 8:40 a.m.\u00a0 If there are morning Extra Magic Hours, Jedi Training sign-up will begin at the start of the Extra Magic Hours, not the general park opening.\u00a0 This puts on-site guests at an advantage on these days.\u00a0 You will want to go directly to the sign-up area at rope drop.\u00a0 It is not uncommon for spots to fill within an hour of park opening.<\/p>\n

Battling Darth Vader<\/em><\/p>\n The registration area for Jedi Training is located at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost between the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! and the 50\u2019s Prime Time Caf\u00e9.\u00a0 When entering the park, grab a park map and head up Hollywood Boulevard.\u00a0 Head left around Echo Lake, before reaching the Center Stage in front of the Chinese Theater, which houses The Great Movie Ride.<\/p>\n There is an option for gaining early access to the park, and that is to book a table service breakfast at Hollywood and Vine Restaurant.\u00a0 This is the only table service breakfast available at Hollywood Studios.\u00a0 You could potentially book an 8:30 a.m. breakfast on a day the park opens at 9:00 a.m. and send out a one adult and the participating child\/children to sign up at 9am, then return to breakfast.\u00a0 This is not typically necessary, but is an option.<\/p>\n One thing you will want note that sometimes gets overlooked; a parent or guardian must bring all participants to the sign-up area when signing up for Jedi Training.\u00a0 If you show up without your young Jedi, you will not be permitted to sign them up.\u00a0 A good strategy would be to send one parent in with the participants and the other parent go through bag check and meet up at a designated spot.<\/p>\n When planning your day, you should budget around an hour for the actual Jedi Training show.\u00a0 You will receive instructions on where to report to 30 minutes before your scheduled time slot with your participant.\u00a0 Viewing of the show is on a first come, first served basis.\u00a0 If possible, send an adult and the participant to the pre-show area for the participants and the rest of your party to the viewing area.<\/p>\n![\"Jedi](\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Completion-Certificate-1-216x400.jpg\")
