Breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. While it\u2019s always fun to meet characters and enjoy a meal, what if you\u2019re looking for a quick experience all while enjoying good food? Disney has some great restaurants that are at the hotels that you are going to want to try. Ones that allow you to grab breakfast, but don’t feature character meet and greet opportunities. These restaurants are off the beaten path and most are not necessarily on the radar for Guests, but they are so worth the visit. Here are the Top 5 Table Service Breakfasts (Non-Character) at Walt Disney World.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The Wave<\/a>: <\/strong>The Wave at Disney\u2019s Contemporary Resort has one of the best breakfasts that you haven\u2019t experienced. There is the option to do ala carte choices, but the best value is the buffet. Here you get pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, oatmeal, grits, breakfast potatoes, and yes, Mickey Waffles. But perhaps the two best things are the eggs benedict and the sweet potato pancakes. (Which are AH-MAZ-ING!)\u00a0 Oh and you also can order a create your own omelet. Pretty much whatever specialties are offered on the a la carte menu can be found on the buffet too. It\u2019s so much food, and you will leave full.<\/p>\n

Kona Caf\u00e9<\/a>:<\/strong> Speaking of amazing meals that leave you so full, have you tried Kona for breakfast? Now, I\u2019m a huge fan of Kona for dinner, but the breakfast options are fantastic. With a little Hawaiian flair menu items include macadamia-pineapple pancakes, poached eggs with hollandaise and pulled pork hash, and their infamous Tonga Toast, which is Banana-stuffed Sourdough French Toast rolled in Cinnamon Sugar and served with a Strawberry Compote. They also have traditional options, like omelets, French toast, and steak and eggs. Kona for breakfast is a must visit. I promise you won\u2019t regret it. Plus, it means you get to stop and enjoy one of my favorite resorts, Disney\u2019s Polynesian Village Resort!<\/p>\n

\"Captain's<\/p>\n

Captain\u2019s Grille:<\/a><\/strong> I\u2019ve discussed this before, but one of the best values for breakfast, to me, has to be Captain\u2019s Grille at Disney\u2019s Yacht Club Resort. Captain\u2019s Grille is certainly not on most people\u2019s radar. It has sort of a traditional hotel restaurant feel (with some nautical themes mixed in) but the food is anything but traditional. Captain\u2019s Grille has the option for a breakfast buffet, but this is a restaurant where the regular menu truly shines. With dishes like Steel-cut Oatmeal Brulee, a Lobster Omelet, Lemon-Ricotta Hotcakes, and my favorite, the Dark Chocolate Waffles, there are some extremely unique options. Looking for Mickey Waffles? They have them too. Or an omelet tailored to your tastes, they have to too. And for you Eggs Benedict fans, that\u2019s also an option. With so many great choices, the hard part will actually be deciding what to eat.<\/p>\n

\"Trattoria<\/p>\n

Trattoria al Forno<\/a><\/strong>: Trattoria al Forno takes breakfast and puts an Italian spin on it. With dishes like a Roasted Red Peppers, Prosciutto, Onions, Potatoes, and Pecorino Romano Cheese Frittata, Cured Italian Meats Sampler, and a Waffle with Espresso-Mascarpone Cream. \u00a0Another interesting choice are the breakfast sandwiches of Italian Pork, Eggs, and Cheese. Trattoria al Forno offers a cornucopia of delights.<\/p>\n

Boma<\/a><\/strong>: Boma at Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a great and unique buffet. Their menu offers a combination of American and African fare. Unique items include Corned Beef Hash, Sweet Plantains, Quinoa, Zebra Bread, and African Fruit Fool. There are traditional items including Smoked Salmon, Pancakes, Breakfast Ham, Waffles, and a delicious French Toast Bread Pudding. The choices are plentiful and incredible.<\/p>\n

Breakfast is so important and with great choices like these at the Walt Disney World Resorts, you should make sure you stop and grab a bite before heading into the parks.<\/p>\n
