Are you looking for a fun filled way to spend your evening with good ol\u2019 classic country food, music, and entertainment?\u00a0 Look no further and head on over to Mickey\u2019s Backyard BBQ<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Located within Disney\u2019s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground<\/a>, this all-you-can-eat buffet and show featuring classic Disney characters is sure to please your hungry crowd.\u00a0 This event takes place in a covered pavilion.\u00a0 Upon entering the pavilion, your party will be seated at a long picnic table.\u00a0 You will sit with other guests outside your party.\u00a0 This is a serve yourself affair and a cast member will guide you in the direction of the buffet and drinks.<\/p>\n

\"Welcome<\/a><\/p>\n

Soft drinks, lemonade, fruit punch, beer, and wine\u00a0are included in the price of the experience.\u00a0 The buffet consists of classic barbecue fair including ribs, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, corn bread, corn on the cob, various salads, and macaroni and cheese.\u00a0\u00a0 There is also a full desert bar.<\/p>\n

The highlight of Mickey\u2019s Backyard BBQ is the Rootin\u2019 Tootin\u2019 Hoedown.\u00a0 There is a live country band that does not disappoint, playing classic and current country hits.\u00a0 Characters are out on the dance floor and there is ample opportunity for lots of interaction.\u00a0 Have your autograph books and cameras ready as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, and Dale will be in attendance, sporting their country and western outfits.\u00a0 There is also a very entertaining cowboy rope show that takes place.<\/p>\n

Mickey\u2019s Backyard BBQ is offered seasonally due to it being at an outdoor venue.\u00a0 Shows typically begin at 5:30 pm most Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from March through November.\u00a0 The cost ranges from $30-$60 per person.\u00a0 The Disney Dining Plan<\/a> is accepted and takes two dining credits on the standard and deluxe plans and one dining credit on the premium and platinum plans.\u00a0 Since there is open seating, it is recommended that guests arrive 30 minutes prior to the show start time.<\/p>\n

Transportation is a little tricky and may require some extra planning.\u00a0 Fort Wilderness is a large resort and has its own internal bus system.\u00a0 If you drive your own vehicle, be aware that you will be directed to a parking lot and will need to use the internal bus to get back to the pavilion.\u00a0 If you take a bus from a park to Fort Wilderness, you will need to transfer from the resort bus to the internal bus as well.<\/p>\n

Overall, Mickey\u2019s Backyard BBQ is a great experience.\u00a0 My family enjoyed it and we made the most of the experience by being out on the dance floor.\u00a0 This experience will be a hit with your family if you enjoy country music, character interaction, and good down-home country cooking!<\/p>\n
