Mickey’s House in Disneyland Park<\/em><\/p>\n

Today we\u2019re heading over to Mickey\u2019s Toontown in Disneyland Park to visit the home of the main mouse himself, Mickey Mouse! Mickey\u2019s House sits nestled in the residential area of Toontown.<\/p>\n

Residential Toontown<\/em><\/p>\n

Mickey\u2019s House is basically an elaborate indoor air conditioned queue in order to meet Mickey. On this very hot day, the wait for meeting Mickey was a whopping 60 minutes. However, we were happy that we got to wait in the cool, and my daughter was happy to explore Mickey\u2019s House while we waited.<\/p>\n

As soon as you enter Mickey\u2019s House, you\u2019ll notice a staircase. Don\u2019t try to go up there. It\u2019s only for show. But check out the fun artwork Mickey has hanging on his wall!<\/p>\n

Alas, this staircase is just for show<\/em><\/p>\n

In Mickey\u2019s living room, you\u2019ll find this ship in a bottle. Hey, is that Steamboat Willie?<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll also find Mickey\u2019s to-do list pinned up prominently for all to see. I like how Mickey is an early riser, like me!<\/p>\n

Mickey is one busy mouse!<\/em><\/p>\n

In Mickey\u2019s laundry room, a washing machine chugs along with his gloves inside. Notice the clever names of his laundry detergent brands!<\/p>\n

That reminds me: I’m almost out of Toonox<\/em><\/p>\n

This is where he keeps his cleaning supplies, too. Hmmmmm, that broom looks familiar\u2026<\/p>\n

Looks like\u00a0Sorcerer Mickey’s been here!<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to know Mickey isn\u2019t perfect. He somehow wound up with a towel that clearly doesn\u2019t belong to him\u2026.<\/p>\n

Mickey stole a hotel towel? \u00a0Tsk, tsk.<\/em><\/p>\n

As you leave his house and head into his garden (all is still indoors), you\u2019ll find a sign letting you know who\u2019s waiting for you up ahead.<\/p>\n

Mickey’s so welcoming.<\/em><\/p>\n

His gardening duds are hung up with care.<\/p>\n

MouseKosh, b’gosh.<\/em><\/p>\n

Pluto\u2019s doghouse is here, but he\u2019s not home.<\/p>\n

He wasn’t home.<\/em><\/p>\n

And finally, you approach his movie barn!<\/p>\n

You’re getting closer!<\/em><\/p>\n

Inside, you\u2019ll find loads of props from his many films. Here\u2019s a birthday cake:<\/p>\n

Mickey\u2019s found a clever place to hang wardrobe: on the ceiling!<\/p>\n

Donald\u2019s in charge of the paint department, and he left a big mess.<\/p>\n

Never hire a duck to be your set designer<\/em><\/p>\n

And since Mickey is a cartoon star, you never know when you might need an anvil.<\/p>\n

I sure hope that thing doesn’t get dropped on someone.<\/em><\/p>\n

You\u2019re almost to the projection room! \u00a0This is where you\u2019ll see a continuous loop of trailers for his big film successes. (Goofy is the projectionist and Donald likes to check up on him, so expect some mischief.) \u00a0Soon, a Cast Member will usher you into a smaller waiting area. Here, you can see film canisters stuffed with Mickey\u2019s biggest hits.<\/p>\n

That Mickey is one prolific mouse!<\/em><\/p>\n

Congratulations \u2013 you\u2019re meeting Mickey! He is more than happy to sign autograph books and pose for photos. Today he\u2019s dressed as Steamboat Willie.<\/p>\n
