\u201cAre you seriously going back AGAIN???\u201d\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

I have heard these words more times that I can tell you.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure some of you have as well.\u00a0 Of course, I could always sarcastically respond with a question of my own such as \u201cDon\u2019t you go to the beach (or Cape Cod, or Aruba, or China\u2026 well, you get my point) year after year?\u201d\u00a0 But, nonetheless, I take the high road and give the same answer I always give – a resounding and unwavering \u201cYes!\u201d<\/p>\n

But what is it that really keeps us coming back time after time?<\/p>\n

There are so many reasons, and though everyone\u2019s might be different, I\u2019m sure some of us may share some common answers.<\/p>\n

So, what is it about Walt Disney World that keeps me going back as many times as possible?\u00a0 That\u2019s probably one of the easiest questions I\u2019ll ever have to answer.\u00a0 Quite simply, it\u2019s the magic Disney provides.<\/p>\n

And, along with that magic, comes some definite perks.<\/p>\n

Disney is known for wonderful service and for being \u201ctop shelf\u201d in everything they do.\u00a0 Starting from the moment I arrive at the Magical Express area at the airport in Orlando, I start feeling the magic.\u00a0 Look around \u2013 everything is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the cast members are happy to help you.\u00a0 Disney puts 100% into everything they do, including clean and comfortable motorcoaches to transport you from the airport to your resort and ensuring your luggage magically appears in your room shortly after your arrival (if they\u2019re not already there when you open your room door).\u00a0 Now, that\u2019s a perfect start to a wonderful vacation!<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been to the World numerous times, but there\u2019s still an indescribable feeling that wraps around me each and every time I step on property, which gets more intense as we make our way to the parks.\u00a0 Our family tradition is that we begin and end each trip at the Magic Kingdom.\u00a0 I just can\u2019t start our trip in any other park.\u00a0 My trip doesn\u2019t begin unless I\u2019m stepping onto Main Street.\u00a0 And there\u2019s a reason for that \u2013 as soon as I walk under the train station and step onto Main Street, there it is\u2026.magic!\u00a0 Now, I\u2019ve really arrived, and the trip can begin!<\/p>\n

So\u2026what\u2019s so magical you ask?\u00a0 Where to begin?\u00a0 There\u2019s just so much that makes it magical!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure many of us have gone on family vacations all over the world where everyone is pretty much doing their own thing.\u00a0 One person is on the iPad, another on their cell phone, another playing video games.\u00a0 Although everyone is together, they\u2019re not really together<\/em>.\u00a0 In fact, they\u2019re probably not communicating with each other at all.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s true that, especially over the last couple of years, technology has become more prevalent at the World, we\u2019ve always had a different experience during our trips.\u00a0 Yes, the cellphones do make a marked appearance, but it\u2019s not about communicating with the outside world.\u00a0 It\u2019s about being in touch with the World \u2013 Disney World, that is.\u00a0 When the phones do come out, it\u2019s to check wait times, character meet and greets, and such.<\/p>\n

I must admit that I do miss the days when we didn\u2019t have that option, but it does come in handy.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the days of completely escaping technology is a thing of the past, but we try to limit it to being trip-related.<\/p>\n

Most of the time, we\u2019re enjoying each other’s company, laughing over shared memories, listening to my daughter excitedly tell me about the thrill ride she just went on with Dad, while I waited for them.\u00a0 We talk about which ride we should go on next (or what FastPass is next), what show we want to see, what meal we\u2019re going to have next.\u00a0 When standing in line, and I\u2019m not going to pretend that\u2019s any fun, we are still enjoying being together \u2013 perhaps, even looking for some hidden Mickeys.<\/p>\n

One of my favorite things at Disney is to watch the interaction between my daughter and her favorite characters.\u00a0 Where else in the world can I witness my daughter\u2019s innocence and joy as fully and deeply?\u00a0 Absolutely nowhere.\u00a0 To see her so incredibly happy meeting her beloved characters in person is unbelievable.\u00a0 It warms my heart to see her so excited.\u00a0 In fact, it\u2019s addictive.\u00a0 And it\u2019s so much fun to get in on it, too.\u00a0 Yes \u2013 it\u2019s the only place in the world I can be a child again.\u00a0 Really.<\/p>\n

And so having said that, here is the absolute true value and magic of a Disney trip:\u00a0 A chance to live a second childhood.\u00a0 No matter where you go, how exotic, romantic, or beautiful any other destination is, nowhere else can provide a second childhood.\u00a0 And that is valuable beyond measure.\u00a0 Whatever your childhood was like, here\u2019s a chance to be a child again in a magical and happy place like no other.<\/p>\n

Where else can you proudly wear Mickey ears, character shirts, and enjoy Mickey bars and Dole Whips to your heart\u2019s content while singing \u201cIt\u2019s A Small World\u201d under your breath without any concern for what others might think?\u00a0 Absolutely nowhere.<\/p>\n

Where else can you jump into a log and zip down a mountain, or careen through a mine filled with dwarfs and jewels?\u00a0 Or walk through an enchanted mirror into a magical world of enchanted objects?\u00a0 Or meet your favorite princesses\u2026and princes?<\/p>\n

Where else can you get a chance to challenge Gaston to see if he really is as manly as he thinks he is?\u00a0 Well\u2026 apparently, just between you and I, it seems like he really is!\u00a0 Seriously\u2026YouTube it \u2013 it\u2019s hysterical!<\/p>\n

Am I in the mood to visit far off exotic countries?\u00a0 Well, at Disney, I can do that.\u00a0 How?\u00a0 With magic, of course!\u00a0 My family and I can quickly hop on a bus and head over to Epcot where we can enjoy a leisurely stroll through so many different countries.\u00a0 From romantic Italy to festive Mexico, through mysterious Morocco, nowhere else can we travel through so many countries and enjoy everything they have to offer all within steps of each other.<\/p>\n

And where else can we possibly be part of the movies and Hollywood?\u00a0 Being an actress could be fun, but, honestly, I really don\u2019t think Hollywood is ready for me\u2026yet. So, in the meantime, I\u2019ll just have to settle for Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios \u2013 and, hey, that\u2019s not a bad thing!!\u00a0 Where else can I go easily from movie to movie, be a part of Star Wars, sing along with Anna and Elsa, go under the sea with the Little Mermaid, or get swept up in the Beast\u2019s enchanted kingdom?\u00a0 Absolutely nowhere!<\/p>\n

And, to add to all of that, I can also trek through Africa and Asia?\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 All I have to do is get over to Animal Kingdom, and I\u2019m transported to that part of the world.\u00a0 I can sing along at the Festival of the Lion King, have an underwater adventure with Nemo, live like a bug, go on safari, and be chased by a dinosaur.\u00a0 Now that\u2019s impressive!<\/p>\n

\"Finding<\/a><\/p>\n

With all of this available to us, it\u2019s difficult to come away from a Disney vacation disappointed.\u00a0 Despite the heat, the crowds, and the long lines, guests always walk away having fun with most of them ready to plan their next trip.<\/p>\n

When trying to describe what\u2019s so magical about Disney, I often tell people how, a couple of years ago, while in the Magic Kingdom, I waited for my husband and daughter as they went on Astro Orbiter.\u00a0 Soon, Chip and Dale came and stood about three feet away from where I was sitting for a meet and greet.\u00a0 As I watched them interact with everyone, an older woman approached them.\u00a0 The smile on her face was joyous, from ear to ear.\u00a0 She was crying, smiling, kissing and hugging Chip and Dale, very apparently having a \u201cchildhood\u201d moment.\u00a0 It was amazing.<\/p>\n

As I watched, it hit me why Disney is so loved by so many \u2013 because it gives everyone that walks through its gates an opportunity to magically become a child again for as long as they\u2019re at the World.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think I can truly say that about any other place.\u00a0 To feel like a child again?\u00a0 That\u2019s priceless.\u00a0 To relive our Disney childhood memories through our own children?\u00a0 To be able to do this is absolutely precious to me, and I enjoy it more than anything.<\/p>\n

So, every time I get asked this same question, the answer is going to always be the same \u2013 a resounding and unwavering \u201cYes\u201d!<\/p>\n
