Nothing says Valentine&#8217;s Day like delicious chocolate (I think my friend Anna from Frozen would strongly agree) so I have come prepared to share the recipe for the Chocolate Silk Bread Pudding from Artist Point at Disney&#8217;s Wilderness Lodge.\u00a0 This sounds like it would be difficult to make, but when you really get down to it, it&#8217;s actually pretty darn simple! (And intoxicating&#8230;.mmmm&#8230;.the smells of chocolate&#8230;.)\u00a0 Anyway&#8230;let&#8217;s get to the recipe, shall we?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Chocolate Silk Bread Pudding<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Artist Point &#8211; Disney&#8217;s Wilderness Lodge<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bread Pudding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Quart Heavy Cream<\/p>\n<p>3 Whole Eggs<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 Cup Granulated Sugar<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 Cup Amaretto<\/p>\n<p>16 oz. Sourdough Bread (preferably day old)<\/p>\n<p>4 oz. Chocolate Ganache (see subsequent recipe)<\/p>\n<p>1 2\/3 Cups White Chocolate Shavings<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 Cup Cocoa Powder<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolate Ganache:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 1\/2 oz. Bittersweet Chocolate<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 Cup Heavy Cream<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolate Silk Bread Pudding Topping:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 7\/8 oz. Almond Slices<\/p>\n<p>3 5\/8 oz. Amaretto<\/p>\n<p>2 1\/2 oz. Brown Sugar<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 lb. Butter<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 oz. Water<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bread Pudding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 In a 2 quart mixing bowl, combine sugar, eggs, heavy cream, and amaretto together and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Tear the sourdough bread into small pieces, then add the bread to the liquid and mix until all is absorbed.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Fold in the white chocolate<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Divide the bread mixture into two equal parts.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 In one part, fold in the ganache and chocolate powder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assemble the Bread Pudding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Line a 10&#8243; cake pan with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The First Layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Fill a 1 cup measuring cup half full with the white chocolate mixture and put directly into the center of the pan.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Fill the measuring cup half full with the white chocolate mixture and put it at the 12 o&#8217;clock position, another half at the 3 o&#8217;clock position, another at 6 o&#8217;clock, and another at 9 o&#8217;clock.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Fill the measuring cup half full with the dark chocolate mixture and put half cups in between the white chocolate sections.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Gently pat the mixture to fill in the gaps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Second Layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Follow the above procedure, but put the dark chocolate over the white chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Tap the pan on the counter to distribute the bread pudding evenly in the pan.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Place the cake pan in a water bath, but do not let the water go on top of the bread pudding and don&#8217;t let the water evaporate completely in the process of baking.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 and a half hours, or until bread feels firm.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 Remove from the oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes.\u00a0 Cut into desired portions and serve warm with topping.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolate Ganache:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Shave the chocolate and place into a bowl.
