Sanaa<\/a>, located in Walt Disney World\u2019s Kidani Village<\/a>, is a great place to enjoy a flavorful meal in a unique atmosphere!<\/p>\n

We enjoy going to Sanaa for lunch on a day we\u2019re visiting Animal Kingdom to take a nice break from the heat and the park. \u00a0The bus ride to the resort is a short one.\u00a0 Getting to Kidani Village a little early gives \u00a0time to explore the resort.<\/p>\n

The African d\u00e9cor of the restaurant is loaded with details.\u00a0 We like requesting a seat by the window so we can watch the animals on the Savanna while we eat.<\/p>\n

I started my meal by trying a Skinny Coconut Mojito, which was refreshing after a long morning of park touring.<\/p>\n

Appetizer<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite appetizer in all of Walt Disney World is offered right here at Sanaa!\u00a0 The Indian style bread service includes three naan breads and nine accompaniments.\u00a0\u00a0 The flavors of the various dips are phenomenal, a true party for your taste buds!\u00a0 I could happily make a whole meal just from the naan bread and the various accompaniments with the bread.<\/p>\n

Entrees<\/strong><\/p>\n

For my entr\u00e9e, I selected the Open Faced Tandoori Chicken Sandwich. \u00a0It was on naan bread and included greens, tomato, onion, and a flavorful cucumber raita with tandoori chicken. \u00a0The various elements blended well together. \u00a0All ingredients were fresh, and it was delicious!<\/p>\n

My son \u00a0choose the Open Faced Tandoori Shrimp Sandwich, which he enjoyed as much as I enjoyed my entr\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

My daughter went straight to the kid\u2019s menu, and was happy with her cheese pizza made from a naan bread crust.\u00a0 The previous time we were here, this was not on the menu and our server offered to have a pizza made for her.\u00a0 This time, pizza was on the menu.\u00a0 Perhaps a lot of people requested it?<\/p>\n

Desserts<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had an initial disappointment with the dessert menu because a favorite item, the Chai Cream, was no longer offered.\u00a0 Regardless, everything else did look delicious!\u00a0 Both my son and I choose the Dessert Trio.\u00a0 That way, we\u2019d have a nice sample of several of the desserts.\u00a0 The Dessert Trio included Tanzanian Chocolate Mousse, Banana Cheesecake, and Seasonal Kulfi.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure what Kulfi was, and learned it is an Indian ice cream that has a great flavor.<\/p>\n

What I like best about these dessert samplers (well, in addition to the taste!) is that each item is just the perfect size to sample a dessert!\u00a0 All three desserts were great, though I do hope that the Chai Cream will make a return to the menu someday.\u00a0 The Kulfi was my favorite in the trio we tried.<\/p>\n

My daughter ordered a cute-as-a-button Peanut Butter Turtle dessert from the kid\u2019s menu.\u00a0 It\u2019s a peanut butter mousse and eggless chocolate cake in a chocolate turtle shell.\u00a0 It was just as delicious as it was cute!<\/p>\n

The presentation of all of the foods, especially the desserts, was wonderful! \u00a0You can’t beat the atmosphere of sitting by the window and watching the animals go by as you eat. \u00a0My favorite animal in the Savanna is the giraffe.<\/p>\n

We think that that food, atmosphere, and service at Sanaa are phenomenal, and look forward to returning for another meal someday.<\/p>\n
