When people think of bringing home souvenirs from Walt Disney World, items such as Mickey ears and Disney themed t-shirts and toys come to mind. \u00a0There are countless \u00a0Mickey, Princess, Pirate, and Pixar themed souvenir items available to buy to remember and celebrate your trip, however, there are also some fun souvenirs that are unique to buy! \u00a0The next time you are at Walt Disney World, go off the beaten souvenir path and make sure to check out the Bead Outpost in Epcot!<\/p>\n

The Bead Outpost is located in the African Outpost area. \u00a0If you enter the World Showcase from Future World and and head toward Mexico first, you’ll encounter the Bead Outpost right before you reach the Germany Pavilion.<\/p>\n

The Bead Outpost offers unique jewelry items to purchase for yourself or for gifts, and the jewelry is a nice souvenir. \u00a0Walt Disney World sends recycled papers and park maps to Africa. \u00a0In Africa, artists create colorful jewelry by making beads out of the recycled park maps and papers.\u00a0 Each bead is handcrafted, and has a unique look created by the artist who makes the individual beads and jewelry items. \u00a0No two products are exactly alike at the Bead Outpost. \u00a0The beads and the jewelry items that are made in Africa are sent back to Walt Disney World to be sold as souvenirs. \u00a0You can pick jewelry that is already made, or choose to string your own beads for jewelry. \u00a0Proceeds from sales go toward support for the jewelry artists in Africa.<\/div>\n

There are bracelets, chokers, necklaces, anklets, and earrings available in a rainbow of colors! \u00a0We have a hard time deciding what to buy here because every piece we see looks fantastic! \u00a0If you have a difficult time deciding upon a favorite piece of jewelry to bring home, splurge and buy more than one piece. \u00a0Bracelets of all colors look great when wearing more than one.<\/div>\n

We’ve shopped here a few times, and always receive compliments on our jewelry when we wear it. \u00a0Our purchase for this trip was a pair of earrings for a friend. \u00a0When you make a purchase, they wrap your jewelry in an Epcot park map for you to bring home. \u00a0That is another good use of a recycled product!<\/div>\n
