Victoria Falls Lounge is nestled in between floors off the lobby at Animal Kingdom Lodge.\u00a0 Disney’s website states, “Sample suds from South Africa before or after dinner inside this intimate bar overlooking Boma restaurant.\u00a0 A host of South African wines are also featured all of which can be enjoyed in the flickering ambience of the fire pit outside.”\u00a0 This is my favorite place to visit after spending the day at Animal Kingdom\u00a0and before dinner reservations at Boma or Jiko.\u00a0 The bar boasts an abundant choice of liquor varieties and d\u00e9cor has a sophisticated yet rustic vibe.\u00a0 Comfy couches and chairs invite you to sit back and relax for awhile.<\/p>\n

The drink menu includes signature cocktails unique to Victoria Falls as well as the typical\u00a0resort beverage menu found on Disney property.<\/p>\n

The Victoria Falls Mist is mildly fruity without being overly sweet.\u00a0 I would say it tasted more like kiwi than\u00a0any of the flavors listed.\u00a0 This was very refreshing without a strong alcohol flavor.<\/p>\n

The Mt. Kilimarita\u00a0\u00a0was also very good.\u00a0 The splash of cranberry balanced out the sweet and sour mix making this a very smooth margarita.<\/p>\n

The Skinny Coconut Mojito is off the regular resort drink menu.\u00a0 I really enjoyed this one.\u00a0 Tropical flavor that is again, refreshing without being overly sweet.<\/p>\n

The lounge\u00a0serves a variety of beers, wines and also a limited menu<\/a> for snacking: Jiko Cheese Selection\u00a0 ($15), Crisp Breads and Dips ($6), and\u00a0Roasted Nuts with African Spices ($5).<\/p>\n

On your next visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge, consider stopping into Victoria Falls Lounge for a drink or a bite\u00a0and unwind a bit from your busy day at the parks.\u00a0 The lounge is open from 4pm – midnight.\u00a0\u00a0Service is very friendly and attentive.\u00a0 The\u00a0bar\u00a0is seldom crowded and\u00a0 in the late afternoon around 4:30, you can hear the bongo drummers that open Boma restaurant which adds to the ambience.\u00a0At night,\u00a0take your cocktail outside by the fire pit or view the animals\u00a0on the savannah with night vision goggles.\u00a0For all of the above reasons, Victoria Falls\u00a0is a true hidden gem at Walt Disney World.<\/p>\n
