We had an early bag pickup from Yellowstone:\u00a0 7:15am!\u00a0 Bus time was\u00a0 8am, and we would be traveling to see another popular Yellowstone attraction as\u00a0 well as head to Brooks Lake Lodge in the mountains for our last two\u00a0 nights.<\/p>\n

After boarding the bus we headed to the “Grand Canyon of\u00a0 Yellowstone”, and it was beautiful.\u00a0 Then we headed to the Lake Yellowstone\u00a0 Lodge on Lake Yellowstone for lunch.\u00a0 We had a wonderful meal–probably the\u00a0 best one of my trip so far.\u00a0 Finally we boarded the motor coach to leave\u00a0 Yellowstone and head towards the Grand Tetons and the Shoshone National Forest\u00a0 which is where Brooks Lake Lodge is located.

It was a long bus ride, up\u00a0 and down the mountains, and we saw lots of bison (buffalo) and some elk and\u00a0 deer.\u00a0 On one part of the road therewas a ranger, which our guide\u00a0 indicated meant that someone probably saw a bear.\u00a0 Unfortunately we didn’t see one, and kept on going.<\/p>\n

Finally around 4:30pm or so we found the road to Brooks Lake Lodge.\u00a0\u00a0 Unfortunately the motor coach could not go up the road because there was so much\u00a0 snow.\u00a0 Seriously–there is still about 4′ of snow up here.\u00a0 I have\u00a0 never, ever, seen this much snow in my adult life, and I lived in Spokane,\u00a0 Washington, for many years.<\/p>\n
