One of the best ‘magical’ moments at Magic Kingdom is at Harmony Barber Shop.\u00a0 Most guests probably aren’t aware of the real working barber shop in the park but it’s a treasure!<\/div>\n
While they specialize in first haircuts, they also will give girls and boys…and any kid at heart…a style with pixie dust.\u00a0 My 9 year old is starting to feel too grown up\u00a0for Bippity Boppity Boutique but still looks longingly past the entrance seeing 4 and 5 year old little girls\u00a0transform into princesses.\u00a0 I suggested we just go check out the barber shop on our last visit “just to take a few pictures” hoping she would be drawn in and want something done.\u00a0\u00a0It\u00a0literally just took seconds before she was in a chair covered with a fabulous red and white striped cape.<\/div>\n

In less than 15 minutes, her hair had been styled,\u00a0colored with gel, and\u00a0covered in\u00a0glitter.\u00a0 She was thrilled with her new look and it was one of her favorite things\u00a0of the whole trip.<\/div>\n

Harmony Barber shop is kind of hidden down the first side street\u00a0off Main Street USA.\u00a0 If you are standing on Main Street with City Hall\/Guest Relations on your left just\u00a0look for the barber pole located between the Emporium and the Car Barn.<\/div>\n
On May 30, 2010, \u00a0Harmony Barber Shop services became reservation only. \u00a0You’ll need to let your TMFL travel planner know or call 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529) for openings at least one day in advance. \u00a0A credit card guarantee is needed so make sure to have that ready when you make your reservation. \u00a0 \u00a0 There is no same day booking availability. \u00a0A \u00a0full day is needed for cancellation or a $10 cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card. \u00a0You will pay for services on arrival. \u00a0Barber shop hours are 9am – 5pm.<\/div>\n
Haircuts with a dusting of pixie dust\u00a0for kids 1 – 12 will cost $15 . The adult haircut pricing \u00a0is $18. \u00a0 \u00a0For a style with colored hair gel the rate is $7.50 and baby’s first haircut under a year old\u00a0is $19. \u00a0 \u00a0All services are performed on clean dry hair as no shampoo bowls are available.<\/div>\n
