When we go to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World (or any vacation for that matter), we usually keep souvenirs like maps, postcards, and other things that will remind us of our trip.\u00a0 Some of this, we scrapbook, but some we keep in small containers, so the kids can go back and look through them.\u00a0 My son, especially, is a very tactile person, and it means a lot to him to be able to pull out a map and open it or to flip through postcards.<\/p>\n

We moved in January, and we haven’t had time to unpack everything, yet.\u00a0 The other day, my daughter found the container from our 2009 Walt Disney World trip.\u00a0 Both kids tore into it, pulling out park maps and other things.<\/p>\n

One of the things that was pulled out was the lid to this applesauce container.\u00a0 {Yes, my kids had insisted that I keep this because it was so “cool” to have Mickey Mouse on it.\u00a0 It was cleaned well!}\u00a0 Yep, this missed the scrapbook, didn’t it?<\/p>\n

They also found these postcards.\u00a0 We had bought a few postcards for them to keep and sort through.<\/p>\n

We also had the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Epcot Christmas brochures, too.<\/p>\n

It’s always nice finding those lost memories!\u00a0 The kids love to pull these out and look at them.\u00a0 On a trip to Disneyland, we saved some Fastpasses, and my son loves to “use” those.\u00a0 Maybe I shouldn’t say anything about the maps from last Fall’s trip to Disneyland that are currently in the back of the family car…\u00a0 Sometimes, the “free” things are the best souvenirs, aren’t they?<\/p>\n
