There are meet and greets in every park.\u00a0\u00a0And each park has at least one place where you can see multiple characters.\u00a0\u00a0You\u2019ve got The Toontown Hall of Fame (at least for a little while longer) in the\u00a0Magic\u00a0Kingdom,\u00a0Camp\u00a0Minnie-Mickey\u00a0at Animal Kingdom, and the\u00a0Animation\u00a0Building\u00a0in Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios, and lastly you\u2019ve got the Epcot Character Spot.\u00a0\u00a0My favorite of the above mentioned \u201cmeet and greets\u201d is the Character Spot in Epcot.<\/p>\n

I especially like to head there as soon as the park opens.\u00a0\u00a0While the crowd heads to Test Track, Mission Space, or Soarin\u2019, we head into the Epcot Character Spot for a visit with Mickey and Friends.\u00a0\u00a0On our last visit, we first saw Mickey Mouse, and then we had a visit with Pluto.\u00a0\u00a0After Pluto, we saw Minnie Mouse. We visited with Donald Duck and finally we saw Goofy.\u00a0\u00a0On a previous visit we saw Chip and Dale instead of Donald Duck.\u00a0\u00a0Best part of all\u2026there\u2019s only one\u00a0queue to stand in.\u00a0\u00a0So you stand in that one queue line and then see five characters one after another, with only a very short wait (and most times no wait at all) between characters.<\/p>\n

Another major bonus of the Epcot Character Spot is that you get one-on-one time with each character, so you get some amazing character interaction.\u00a0\u00a0While visiting with Pluto on our last trip, Pluto signed my son\u2019s Pluto hat.\u00a0\u00a0We didn\u2019t ask him to; he just grabbed the hat off of my son\u2019s head and asked for the marker.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0My son was thrilled.\u00a0\u00a0I think that souvenir is his favorite from the trip and Pluto\u2019s autograph makes it even more special.\u00a0\u00a0The characters really take their time with each group of people!\u00a0 On our last visit, we were a party of eight and at no point did we feel rushed with a character.

Another plus is the Photopass photographers at the Epcot Character Spot.\u00a0\u00a0We\u2019ve been at Camp Minnie-Mickey at different times.\u00a0\u00a0Some characters had Photopass Photographers and some did not.\u00a0\u00a0My first picture with Mickey Mouse is blurry because there was no Photopass photographer and the character handler didn\u2019t know how to work my camera.\u00a0\u00a0At the Epcot Character Spot, Photopass photographers are there capturing every moment.\u00a0\u00a0Some of the best candid shots we have of the kids with the characters were taken in the Epcot Character Spot.<\/p>\n

In addition, there are some really fun backgrounds behind each character.\u00a0\u00a0Each background seems to reflect Epcot in some way.\u00a0\u00a0In some backgrounds, you see technology such as computers and cell phones, and in some backgrounds, you see plant life and trees.\u00a0\u00a0With Mickey, we see the Monorail, Test Track, and Segways.\u00a0\u00a0We think these fun backgrounds make the pictures even more enjoyable to look at after the trip is over.<\/p>\n

And lastly, and sometimes most importantly, the Epcot Character Spot is inside! \u00a0So that means that it is the perfect break from the weather, no matter if it is the heat, the unexpected cold, or a rainy day.<\/p>\n
