Back in 2008, my family and I stayed at POP Century for our trip.\u00a0 We were in the 70’s complex, right on the lake, and we could see the unfinished side of the resort.\u00a0 It was one of those moments (again) where I wish there was a giant tent or wall around the whole thing because at that time, it was a deserted construction zone.\u00a0 Imagine my surprise when I was helping some friends plan their upcoming trip to the World and found that Disney’s Art of Animation resort was now taking reservations!\u00a0 I hadn’t even realized it was at that phase!<\/p>\n
Designed with heavily-themed family suites, the Art of Animation Resort seems to have taken it up a notch in respect to it’s level of design\/theming.\u00a0 With rooms based on Finding Nemo, the Lion King and Cars, you do not merely have a hint of these movies in your room, you are surrounded by them!<\/p>\n
From the official Walt Disney World site:\u00a0 With 1,120 suites designed after Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King, and 864 rooms inspired by The Little Mermaid, you’ll feel like you’re staying in the middle of a Disney story with all of your favorite characters. Family suites are scheduled to open in May 2012 and standard rooms are scheduled to open December 31, 2012.\u00a0 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort features room types for almost every party size and preference\u2014including standard rooms and family suites.
