Can you believe that Disney’s Animal Kingdom‘s nighttime spectacular, Rivers of Light debuted only two years ago? Well, today Disney announced that a new, updated version of the show will be debuting will debut in the Discovery River Amphitheater this Memorial Day Weekend.
The new show will be called Rivers of Light: We Are One and it will incorporate many of the aspects of the first show, like grand imagery, illuminated lantern floats, special effects, and a soaring musical score, but one big change for this updated version will be the introduction of Disney stories, through both their animate classics, as well as the Disneynature films. This new show will showcase our connection with animals, as well as the milestones we experience in the great circle of life. Rivers of Life: We Are One will also still feature the original score created for the first show, but will also incorporate some Disney themes, as well.
A few year’s back, before the original debut of the show, we at The Mouse For Less were able to take part in a special sneak preview of the show:
