Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Now Open for Summer 2019

One of my favorite vacations that I take is a Disney Cruise Line vacation. There’s something so magical stepping onto that ship. It’s like a world of enchantment. With all the fun activities, great ports of call, fantastic dining, incredible shows, wonderful staterooms, and more, a Disney Cruise really does have something for everyone.

Today, Disney Cruise Line is opening up the ability to book summer itineraries for 2019 for all Guests. So, if you’ve been thinking, next summer is the time to take our first (or our next) Disney Cruise, today is the day you want to make it happen. That’s because as the ships fill up, the price increases too. So, booking on the day these itineraries open is really the best way to ensure you’ll get the cheapest price for your vacation.

For those who don’t know, there are four great ships with many different ports of call to consider. For those looking to take a European adventure, the Disney Magic will call on seven new ports for the first time in 2019, including Gothenburg and Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden; Toulon (Provence) and Brest, France; Cartagena, Spain; Fredericia, Denmark; and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Oh and there will be a round trip sailing from Rome too. To me, a cruise is one of the best ways to see Europe because you get to see different countries all in one full swoop!

Looking to sail to Alaska? Many say this itinerary is one of the best ones that you can take. The Disney Wonder will be returning to Alaska and the best part is that it’s in the summer, so while it may be cooler than it would be in your neck of the woods, it wouldn’t be completely frigid too. (Though you’ll still want to pack your pants and a coat!) A variety of five, seven, and nine night itineraries will depart from Vancouver, Canada, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier and Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska, plus Victoria, Canada. This is honestly a bucket list trip that I hope to take soon.

The Disney Fantasy, which is the most recent ship I’ve sailed on will continue to do its Eastern and Western night itineraries to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Oh and you can’t forget that stop at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, which trust me, is really the definition of island paradise. There’s nothing like experiencing the tranquility of being on Castaway Cay. The Disney Fantasy will be making three, six, eight, and 11 night cruises.

Oh speaking of visiting Castaway Cay…the Disney Dream takes the cake as far as having some of the best itineraries with its double dip visits to Castaway Cay. (That’s right…on select cruises, you’ll get to visit Castaway Cay twice! That means when you leave the perfect tropical location the first time, you won’t be sad because you know you’ll be back soon!) The Disney Dream will also sail to Nassau, Bahamas on various three, four, and five night cruises, which all leave from Port Canaveral in Florida. (So these are the perfect cruises to do a land and sea vacation! A few nights at Walt Disney World and a few nights on a Disney Cruise! What could be better?!)

Honestly….now is the time to consider sailing with Disney Cruise Line if you’re planning your summer 2019 getaway. If you want to learn more about Disney Cruise Line, make sure to check out our fantastic guide.
