Two different Star Wars character meals will take place daily from May 4 to June 15. There is also a character breakfast Star Wars Galactic Dine-in Breakfast, at Sci-Fi Dine In from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This meal will feature Stormtroopers, Jawa, Greedo, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader. Also, instead of showing classic sci-fi movie clips, the theater will show Star Wars clips. The meal will cost $47.99 for adults ages 10 and up and $29.99 for children ages 3-9. Also is a dinner, called Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine. The character dinner will take place at Hollywood and Vine. Characters available at this meal will be Jedi Mickey, Princess Leia Minnie, Darth Goofy, Stormtrooper Donald, and Ewoks Chip & Dale. The meal will cost $55.99 for adults ages 10 and up (or $59.99 with Fantasmic! Dinner Package), and $33.99 for children ages 3-9 (or $36.99 with Fantasmic! Dinner Package).
Tickets for Night of Joy, a Christian music hard-ticketed event, are now on sale. The 2014 Night of Joy event is scheduled to take place on September 5 – 6, from 7:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. If pre-purchased, single day tickets will cost $59, plus tax. If you purchase at the door, they will be $69, plus tax. There will also be a two night ticket option available that will cost $108 per night, plus tax, which will include one day admission to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, or DisneyQuest. The two day ticket needs to be purchased by August 5.
The parking fees at all four Walt Disney World resort have increased. The new rates are:
Automobile, taxi, limo, or motorcycle: $17 (up from $15)
Camper, trailer or RV: $18 (up from $16)
Bus or tractor trailer: $21 (up from $19)
In addition, to the theme park parking fees increasing, the valet fees at the resorts have also seen an increase. The new rate is now $20 per car.
Kouzzina, at Disney BoardWalk Resort, will be closing on September 30. A new restaurant will open in its place sometime in late 2014.
The Grand Floridian Resort will help bring in Easter by inviting guests to enjoy the 3rd annual Easter egg display that can be found in the lobby of the hotel. The eggs are all edible, created with modeling chocolate, fondant, sculpted sugar and royal icing and are beautiful works of art. Each egg will depict a different Disney story, such as Tangled or The Little Mermaid. All 18 eggs will be on display from April 4-22.
Off-site guests will now have access to making advance FastPass+ reservations. Guests will be able to make their reservations up to 30 days in advance. MagicBands will be able to be purchased by off-site guests for $12.95, if they choose, but they are not required. In order to have the ability to schedule your advance FastPass+ reservations, off-site guests must first link their tickets into their My Disney Experience account. This means that off-site guests will no longer be forced to make reservations on the day of their visit via the in-park kiosks. In-park kiosks will still be available to guests should they want to use them. Also, day guests can purchase MagicBands, if they would like (it is not going to be a necessity.) The cost is said to be $12.95, plus tax, per band.
