Disney World is always magical to us but during the Christmas season there is more magic and “Pixie Dust” in the air. One year during Thanksgiving week we were having our first holiday stay at the Wilderness Lodge. I was awe struck with the Lodge as soon as we drove up and even more so when we walked into the lobby. It was a few days before Thanksgiving and the Lodge wasn’t decorated for Christmas yet so I wasn’t sure if we’d see the Christmas decorations by the time we left a few days after Thanksgiving. We went to bed Thanksgiving night and I remember walking into the lobby the next day and standing there amazed at the gorgeous and HUGE Christmas tree in the center of the lobby. There was garland hanging from the upper floor rails, wreaths hung in various locations and smaller Christmas trees scattered around. It was like Santa’s elves had gone into overdrive during the night because none of the decorations were up the night before. The beauty of it took my breath away. I love being able to share the magic of Walt Disney World with my young children and even more so during the Christmas season.
