500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week-long vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.\u00a0 When we were planning this trip \u201chome\u201d a few months back, we decided that we wanted to try one of the many tours that Disney offers.\u00a0 After doing some research, it was a no-brainer for us to choose to participate in the Behind the Seeds Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Behind the Seeds Tour takes place behind the Living with the Land boat ride in the Land pavilion in Epcot.\u00a0 This tour gives guests an up close look at the different fruits, herbs, vegetables, and aquatic life in the various greenhouses, and the numerous growing techniques they use.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When we first arrived at the Land pavilion, we checked in at the desk to the left of Soarin\u2019.\u00a0 We were given name tags and asked to wait near the benches by the first floor restrooms for the rest of our tour group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-6226 aligncenter\" alt=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/1-300x223.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/1-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/1.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once our tour time rolled around, we followed our guide backstage to begin our tour.\u00a0 We were given a few guidelines to follow:\u00a0 don\u2019t walk in the sand without shoe covers, don\u2019t touch the plants, and don\u2019t hesitate to ask questions.\u00a0 Our guide was in the college program, and her main job was working with the aquaculture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The items grown in the greenhouses are served at restaurants at EPCOT and the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-6230 aligncenter\" alt=\"5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/5-300x223.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/5-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/5.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Earlier that morning, Cast Members picked and cut up a cucumber grown in the greenhouse for the tour attendees to taste.\u00a0 As a self-proclaimed cucumber connoisseur, I must say that this was the freshest cucumber that I had ever tasted.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-6231 aligncenter\" alt=\"6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/6-300x223.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/6-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/6.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We continued walking through the greenhouses, viewing the \u2018larger than life\u2019 vegetables, aquaculture, and finding out more about the growing techniques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tour was an hour long, and incredibly interesting.\u00a0 If you are a fan of the Living with the Land boat ride, greenhouses, hydroponics, gardening, or if you\u2019re just wanting to do an inexpensive Walt Disney World tour, I highly recommend checking out the Behind the Seeds tour.\u00a0 The following day we ate dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club, and I was proud to order \u201cThe Land\u201d Salad, which featured lettuce that we had walked by the day prior.\u00a0 I think that\u2019s pretty cool!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_ms_news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/photo-15.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"
