The Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for the 50th anniversary by updating a number of attractions, shops, and more. One of the places that is going to see a refresh is the Main Street Confectionary at the Magic Kingdom.
The sweet update of this iconic location will include a fresh new look. The location will also see an expanded layout with more room to shop. In addition, there will be new interactive opportunities that will allow Guests to customize their confections in ways they’ve never been able to do before.
The confectionary which can be found on Main Street U.S.A. sells a number of sweets including things like fudge, candy apples, cake pops, cookies, and more.
The Main Street Confectionary, as well as The Chapeau located next door, will need to close for the refurbishment work. Both will close beginning on March 29.
Never fear though! Guests will still be able to grab their favorite treats, but they will be found in a few different locations. A number of treats will be found in the Emporium. Guests will also find some of them at the Main Street Cinema during the closure. If you’re looking to shop at The Chapeau, Guests will find hats and ears at Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater. Since treats will be found inside the Main Street Cinema, Disney is going to be moving the collectibles and artwork that were sold inside there to Bonjour! Village Gifts in Fantasyland.
