Grab a paintbrush and indulge your artistic side – the EPCOT Festival of the Arts will be returning in 2021! This year, the Taste of EPCOT Festival of the Arts will run from January 8 through February 22 and it is a celebration of all things artistic – whether that be in the visual, performing, or even culinary arts.
During the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, Guests can get in on the fun and showcase their talents courtesy of the paint-by-number wall which allows Guests to paint small squares on a larger canvas. In addition, Guests will also be able to leave how to draw some of your favorite Disney characters! Or, if you want, you can step into artwork that you know and love (like pretending to be the Mona Lisa) thanks to some fun photo ops!
The best part of this festival is that more than 100 Disney and visiting artists will display their work that you can actually purchase and take home with you. How cool to be able to showcase great Disney talent in your own home?
It wouldn’t be an EPCOT festival without food, right? Food Studios will be located around World Showcase and there will be 15 in all. When I tell you that these dishes are works of art, I mean it! A new Food Studio for 2021 will be the Vibrante & VĂvido Food Studio, found between France and Morocco. It will feature a mouthwatering chilled seafood cocktail with octopus, scallops, shrimp, black garlic aĂŻoli, tomato coconut sauce and serrano lime oil. There will also be Blue Corn Pupusa stuffed with cheese and topped with shredded pork, guajillo and árbol chile sauce, cabbage slaw and aji amarillo crema. Full menus will be coming soon and we’ll make sure to share them when they do! (Here’s a peek at last year’s menus, so you can start to consider what you may want to grab!)
Guests can also take part in the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, where you’ll use the Festival Passport as a guide to purchase five vibrant food items and receive a complimentary treat.
This year, while there won’t be Broadway performers on the America Gardens Theatre stage, Guests will find the Voices of Liberty performing a brand-new showcase called The Disney Songbook. The group will celebrate the artistry of Disney composers and lyricists by performing favorite Disney songs like “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “Let It Go”.
There will be other unique acts that Guests can catch in World Showplace (which can be found in between the Canada and United Kingdom Pavilions). Catch live performances by “Art Defying Gravity,” a spectacle of thrilling strength acts, and “Visual Art in Performance,” a high-energy, onstage visual artist who paints favorite Disney characters in just a matter of minutes.
Also, Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt returns this year. During this family-friendly hunt, Guests help Figment learn about art around World Showcase by purchasing a map and stickers from a variety of merchandise locations. When they are done, Guests will be able to return the map for a special prize.
Of course, for those shoppers, there will be specific merchandise for the event that you can pick up too!
The Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will run for 46 days. Guests looking to experience the event will need both valid theme park admission and a park reservation for the same date.
