Guests using Disney Genie+ have had many thoughts of about the service over the past year. And there have definitely been some tweaks that need to be made to make the option work better for theme park Guests. The good news is that Disney has listened to one such change.
One thing that’s been difficult is changing plans. Before you would have to cancel your Disney Genie+ selection and then rebook. In doing so, you would have to hope that the selection was still available by the time you got back to it. But now, Disney is allowing Guests to be able to modify their Lightning Lane selections made with Disney Genie+, without having to cancel and rebook their selection first! Guests can now quickly search for and select other available attractions or arrival windows, making things so much easier!
To make the changes, Guests will need to select the three dots icon on their Lightning Lane selection. They can do this from either the Tip Board or My Day tab of Disney Genie service. From there they will need to select “Modify Plan” from the menu that appears. After selecting “Modify Plan,” Lightning Lane experiences available at the park where the selection was originally made will appear. Guests may adjust their arrival window to a different time that is currently available. They will also have the option to select a new experience to replace their Lightning Lane selection.
By selecting one of these options, Guests will be able to confirm the change. For Guests who want to make a change for specific members of their party, they can adjust the party members prior to confirming the change.
The ability to modify works at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts.
