Are you ready to let freedom ring when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this Fourth of July? The resort will offer a number of patriotic celebration that include fireworks, food, characters, and more.
Magic Kingdom
Most people look to spend the Fourth of July at the Magic Kingdom, however did you know that you can actually celebrate Independence Day on July 3 too? The Magic Kingdom will offer its special fireworks show, “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This nighttime spectacular includes booming fireworks all orchestrated to patriotic melodies. Shows will take place July 3 and July 4 at 9:20 p.m.
For those looking to have some additional fun in the Magic Kingdom that evening, be on the look out for dance parties with DJs mixing tunes throughout the park.
EPCOT
Moving over to EPCOT, Guests will want to make sure they catch the a cappella vocal group Voices of Liberty. They will perform numbers from the American song book in the rotunda in The American Adventure.
Also, some of your favorite Disney characters will don their “Spirit of ’76” attire and meet with guests throughout the day. You’ll also find them at The American Adventure.
In the evening, Guests will be able to catch the current nighttime show, EPCOT Forever. The show offers a special twist, as the patriotic Fourth of July grand finale – “Heartbeat of Freedom” will be performed. This special tag only takes place on July 4 at 9:00 p.m. Take a look at the finale here:
More Fourth of July Fun
At the Disney Resorts, there will be an array of patriotic activities offered. Guests won’t want to miss the Electrical Water Pageant if they are staying at a resort on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. Finally, you know to celebrate, Disney will definitely have some incredible snack options available. Some of the treats for this year include a Fourth of July Fruit Tart, a blackberry custard topped with fresh berries and a vanilla panna cotta popsicle at Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort; a Fourth of July Liege Waffle at Connections Café at EPCOT; snacks at The Confectionary at the Magic Kingdom; and more.
