The Show

The Music of Pixar LIVE! is a brand new stage show that debuted on May 26, 2017. This new show is performed three times daily at Hollywood Studios on Sunset Boulevard in the Theater of the Stars, where Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage is currently being performed. For the summer of 2017, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage will continue normal operation during daytime hours, and The Music of Pixar LIVE! will entertain guests during the evening hours.

This stage show features moments from the memorable scores of popular Pixar movies played by a live orchestra. Music from UP, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, and Cars are included. In addition to the live orchestra music, Pixar characters appear on stage. These characters include: the Incredibles, Buzz, Jessie and Woody, Carl and Dug, and Mike and Sulley. There will be large screens with video clips to explain the importance of music in making movies and to show film clips as the music is performed. This new stage show is a fun addition to Hollywood Studios for the summer of 2017. Be sure to stop by because this is a limited time event for the summer crowds.

The Mouse For Less Tips

Don’t worry too much if you aren’t able to grab a FastPass+ or are not doing a Music of Pixar Live! Dining package. Due to the large size of the theater, you should be able to get a seat, however you should plan on arriving early on traditionally busy days and weekends.

Guests can enter the Theater of the Stars 20 minutes prior to showtime. You won’t want to miss the pre-show fun featuring Toy Story’s Green Army Men.

The center screen behind the orchestra is quite large, but don’t fear about not being able to see if you are sitting towards the back of the theater because there are two smaller screens on either side of the stage that show the same images.

You may want to bring tissues due to some of the more touching scenes portrayed.
