Lying next to the Magic Kingdom is this speedway where white-knuckle rides in a NASCAR Winston Cup–style race car are offered. The Walt Disney World Resort and Richard Petty have partnered to bring the Richard Petty Driving Experience to Walt Disney World Speedway. If you are at least 16 you can participate in the Ride-Along Program where you'll ride shotgun at speeds of up to 145 mph for three laps around the track with an experienced instructor. Even more exciting, those ages 18 and older can drive the car themselves after an introductory class. This is an experience like no other!

Ride Along Experience:
This experience is offered daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Experience real life racing thrills by riding shotgun in a two-seater stock car driven by a professional instructors as you experience a real simulated race car qualifying run. Reservations not required. Guests can be young as 16 to enjoy the Ride Along Experience. Proof of age required.

Rookie Experience:
This experience is offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Classes are at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Your hands are on the wheel, your foot is on the gas, and you're in the driver's seat for eight laps around the speedway. The program lasts three hours -- the memories last a lifetime.

King's Experience:
This experience is offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Classes are at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Only your pulse races faster when you try to tame the speedway in this high-thrill 18 lap program, run in one eight and one ten-lap session.

Additional Information:
- The cars do not have doors so participants must be able to climb through a 15” high by 30” wide window that sits 36” from the ground.
- All driving experiences require that the driver must be able to operate a 4-speed manual transmission (stick shift).
- Top speed varies according to student performance, track location and the limits set for each programme.
