During the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" Walt Disney World introduced a special edition Pal Mickey. Mickey wears a removable tuxedo jacket for the 18-month-long salute to 50 years of Disney theme parks around the world. The new Pal Mickey comes with new games and songs, has a louder speaking voice than the original and includes a carrying lanyard.

Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, Pal Mickey uses advances in wireless communication to improve and enhance guest service with leading edge technology. Pal Mickey keeps the whole family entertained with Disney jokes, fun trivia questions, seven sing-along songs and six fun interactive games guests can initiate, whether waiting in line at the theme parks, relaxing in a hotel room, and even back at home.
Pal Mickey is available for $65 plus tax at select gift shops in Disney's four Florida theme parks and at merchandise locations in each of the Walt Disney World resort hotels.

We hear that there are going to be some other outfits available for Pal Mickey including a safari, pintrading and tourist outfit and a rain poncho too. Look for those in the summer of 2005
DVC members who purchase a Pal Mickey at DVC resort shops May 5 through October 31,2005 will receive a free DVC T-shirt for their pal Mickey.
There is also a golden Mickey-shaped Medallion available that interacts with the new Pal Mickey. If you squeeze Pal Mickey's hand, the pin will light up. We had a hard time finding this pin at first, but it is a golden pin shaped like Mickey. The medallion can be worn as a pin and also comes with a strap so that you can wear it around your neck. This Pin has multi colored lights and also interacts with other attractions and events throughout WDW. It is like the pins that were available for the Milennium Celebration.
