A First Hand Event Report
by the MFL's Event Reporter, Jane Jones
We ran by Epcot today to catch the new Nemo 'dark' Ride that is in
previews this weekend for AP and DVC members. Being both, we stopped
by after school to get a first peek.
I must say, it is lovely. Cute, calming and clever. While there are
no big WOWS, it is just a solid attraction that stays true to the
story line (Nemo strays/goes on an adventure and Marlin
meets 'friends' that help him in his search) and will be pleasing to
everyone.

The queue is fantastic. You start on the 'beach', head down
the 'boardwalk' and then make your way 'under the sea'. Take time to
notice the details.....look up (boat bottoms, hanging anchors),
down, and all around (railing like rusted ship rails)! The
Imagineers really out did themselves. I almost enjoyed the queue
more than the ride itself!

Then you enter your pink clam shell via a moving walkway. Three sit
comfortably. You are then taken on a beautiful trip through Nemo's
world. You meet all of your favorites: Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Bruce,
the jelly fish, the 'school', and of course Crush and Squirt. The
ride is clever in that it uses the same split screens that are used
in the Mexico ride (the peddlers running after you). The fish seem
to follow you as you and Nemo go on your adventure.

The finale is 2 fold in my opinion. First is when you meet Crush and
Squirt. You feel as if you are in the EAC! We even had the sensation
that we were going backwards as the turtles 'rode' the current along
with us! The second part is when you see the actual Living Seas tank
LIVE with your favorite Nemo friends swimming along side of the real
fish. Too cool!!
Be sure to take note of the details. We rode it a second time and
noticed so much more! The starfish at the end of the ride is funny-
be sure to listen closely.

What was my favorite part? Before you even enter the building there
is a set outside introducing the ride. The seagulls are there near
the water looking around and then they start their "MINE MINE MINE"
chorus. WHAT A HOOT!!!!
For those looking for a 'thrill ride', this is not it. But for those
looking for a relaxing, fun, and clever attraction that will please
most everyone- this is it. Enjoy. I did:)
