Parks fill to capacity early on New Years Eve. TheMouseForLess recommends arriving at your preferred park early and staying throughout the day. While the Walt Disney World Resort guarantees onsite guests will have park entry, it does not guarantee entry into a specific park. To make a long day more comfortable, pack warmer clothes for the evening and stow them in one of the theme park lockers.
If previous years are an indication, park-goers may be given party favors and noise makers to ring in the new year. There will also be elaborate light displays that will decorate the skies over each park (except Animal Kingdom) at the stroke of midnight. Park visitors can expect live entertainment in the parks.

Downtown Disney
From 6:30 pm until Midnight, New Year's Eve revelers can attend the "DJ Kids Dance Party" at the Waterside Stage. The Pleasure Island area will have a live DJ and live entertainment will be located in front of Fultons Crab House (Nova Era Classical music Trio ), the now-closed Adventurers Club and on the West Side in front of the Virgin Megastore. While there will be no fireworks at Downtown Disney this year, shoppers can look for Marketplace store hours to be extended until midnight.
Cirque du Soleil: Fans can celebrate the New Year La Nouba style with two presentations of the theatrical production, at 6 and 9 p.m. Included is a champagne toast, a souvenir program with limited edition autographed insert, and a special grand finale designed just for the New Year. Tickets range from $85.20 – $115.02 (child) and $99.05 – $136.32 (adult), depending on category (1 - 3), and are available online, at the box office, or by calling 407-939-7328.
House of Blues - WJRR'S Big Friggin Eve!
Time: December 31 at 8:30 p.m.
Genre: Rock and Heavy Metal
Cost: Tickets starts at $35.00 and go up to $86.00 for the VIP area.
Sevendust will obliterate their legions of followers this New Year's Eve along with Taproot, American Devils and Rising Up Angry. Party favors will be given out to everyone and there will be a balloon drop at midnight. The concert starts at 9:30 pm and goes on until 2:00 am.
Atlantic Dance Hall - Disney's BoardWalk
Time: 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.
Cost: $25 per person, includes a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight.
Pop the cork on a memorable New Year's Eve dance party. The champagne is chilled, and the dancing is divine. With "dueling Video DJ's" playing your favorite music videos and tunes from the '80s, '90s and now - plus a grand champagne toast at midnight - counting down the New Year in the casual elegance of Atlantic Dance Hall is sure to be the highlight of this or any year. Coronado Springs Resort: Winner of The Best Trendy Bar in Orlando, Rix Lounge is hosting a NYE party from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Enjoy sumptuous hors d' oeuvre platters, featuring Pan Seared Tuna and Mango Ceviche, Mexican Style Shrimp Cocktail, Burgers Pincho with Chipotle BBQ Sauce, Tenderloin Bits on Focaccia Toast, Mini Choux filled with Lobster Salad, Curry Chicken Salad Barquettes and Citrus Marinated Chicken Skewers. $60 serves 3-4, $120 serves 6-8. 6.5% tax and 20% gratuity not included. The Dolphin Resort: Camp Dolphin is hosting a New Year's Eve party for children ages 4 to 12. From 6:30 pm to 1:00 am kids will have a chance to ring in the New Year their way. Cost is $65 per child or $32.50 for children whose parents are dining at either Shula’s Steak House, Il Mulino New York Trattoria or Todd English’s bluezoo.
