Conrad Family- Bridgett and Dave, with their children Blake 4, Damen 2, and James 8 months. Oh yeah, baby Brinley in utero :)
Wed (Pre-Trip)
Preston and I went on our very first trip..a ride through the carwash! He loved it. Then it was off to our house to finish packing. We
planned on meeting the Conrad's at midnight to begin our drive to California. So after 3 hours of sleep we were off! Preston started his
morning at 3am :( We tried to tell him it was still nighttime, but he swore he could see the sun light (AKA- the moon light!)
Thursday Day 1
We made it to California after 2 pit stops! We stopped at the McDonalds right across the street from Disneyland since it was 6am and
still to early to begin our fun at the park! After a quick and pricey breakfast we checked in to our hotel, made sure they had refrigerators
since Bridgett and Blake are Diabetics. We stayed at the Tropicana right across the street from Disneyland. Got the boys out of their pjs
and headed for Disneyland. When we arrived there was hardly anyone there, so we got some excellent pictures in front of DCA. As we passed through the gates to
Disneyland the Mad Hatter grabbed us and we participated in a stroller race! We headed over to Fantasyland and hopped on Peter Pan without
any wait at all. After we completed all the rides in Fantasyland we decided to Pirates and the Jungle Cruise. None of the boys liked
the Haunted Mansion :( The baby even cried through most of it! We stopped for lunch at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. The boys really
enjoyed feeding the ducks the expensive french fries LOL! After a few more rides, the Conrads went back to the hotel so the boys could have
a nap, but we decided to stay and play! Preston loved BTMR and Splash MT! He is such a daredevil:) We met back up with the Conrads in the
afternoon and we stayed till closing.
Friday Day 2
Today Bridgett's parents and brother Morgan flew in and joined us at Disneyland. Today did not run as smoothly as yesterday did! When you
add more people into the mix, it really puts a damper on things. It seemed like we spent the majority of the day standing around deciding
where to go and what to do next. We spent the morning with the group, but then decided to go our own ways at noon! We did Small World which
the boys loved especially Baby James! We also let the boys run off some energy in Toontown! Damen and Preston did Gadgets Go Coaster- It
turns out Blake is afraid of all roller coasters! Preston, my mom and I went over to DCA and we went on Soarin’ (our favorite ride)! Preston
was also tall enough for Grizzly River Run! We got soaked:) He ended up falling asleep in the stroller so we did a child switch for
Soarin'- they also have a single rider pass! We headed back over to watch Fantasmic and the fireworks. Blake and James went back to the
hotel with their grandparents while the rest of us went on Splash Mt and BTMR.
Saturday Day 3
We met the Conrads and Bridgett's parents at DCA. The boys had a great time playing in the water in the Bugs Land. Bridgett's mom got mad
that the boys were spending too much time just playing in the water when she spent all this money to go on rides and have fun, not to
watch them run in water when they could do that at home! But, the boys were having so much fun and building great memories, why ruin that! It
was nice not having to rush and wait in long lines. We were there for the boys not for her :) So, she ended up leaving to go back to the
hotel. We caught the Aladdin show, and we played around in the Animation building! We also got to see Woody, Cinderella, and the
Sorcerer Mickey! The boys got to see what character they were most like, Preston was Hopper, Damen was Buzz and Blake was Jane from Tarzan (he
accidentally hit the button that said he was a girl not a boy!) Woody played around on the computers too and he found out he was most like
Buzz, very surprising! LOL Preston and I did the Muholland Madness ride, which turned out to be his favorite. Preston even managed to talk
Blake into going on it! Blake loved it! We headed back to Disneyland to do more of Preston's favorites. We stayed till midnight tonight.
Preston fell asleep at 11, so my mom and I did a child swap for Indiana Jones. They also have a single rider pass. On the way out we
did a little shopping and we got an ice cream. I got the Fantasmic ice cream which was really good!
Sunday Day 4
we were supposed to a character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen today, but Bridgett called us and told us Blake was throwing up all morning
due to his diabetes. Damen started throwing up because he saw his brother doing it! What a morning LOL, so we went to DTD and had
breakfast at the Rainforest, we met the rest of the group at the World Of Disney. I got some scrap booking stuff and a snowglobe! It was a very
popular one- 4 other people bought it right after I did. We finished checking out DTD and the Disneyland hotel and then we started out
drive back home to AZ!
Highs- We had a great time! The boys entertained each other while waiting in lines! Preston enjoyed introducing his favorite rides to his friends.
The lines weren't too bad
Lows- Bridgett's parents, specifically her mom :) Her mom’s strict schedule.
My horrible sunburn!! :( And the long drive home!
