Today I have a haircut at 08:00 and a facial at 09:00. Oh, we also dock at Nassau today, but since we waited till we got on the ship to book our excursions, the one we wanted was already full and we decided not to plan anything. Mickey wakes me up at 06:30. I wanted to try to get pictures of the sunrise at 06:56, but by time I got out of my room, it was about 07:10. I figured I'd still get some pretty good pictures, but it was cloudy and overcast. Oh well.

Off to the internet café where I follow the directions, but can't log-in. I go to guest services and they explain that because my nephew and I share the same initials, I have to use the first two letters of my first name, not just my initial. I check my e-mail, send a few "ha ha you're in Maine and I'm on a wonderfully warm cruise" notes to people back home, then head up to Vista Spa and Salon for my hair cut and facial.

I really enjoyed my haircut. I have haircutting issues and was very nervous about getting it done on board. It was quite relaxing once I got in the chair and I got to watch Nassau float by as we docked. I knew I was missing the boat do a "180 on a dime" but that was ok. She was done at about 08:45 and so I did the paperwork for my facial. This is one thing I will not be doing again. The lady who did the facial was a bit pushy/snobby and throughout the whole treatment, she tried top make me feel guilty about not taking care of my skin and then was pushy about me not purchasing the $300 worth of products she recommended. Another thing was she "popped" oh, sorry, "extracted" a few whiteheads that I was perfectly content to live it. OOooouch!!!!! There were a few she spent extra time on and then gave up and said "oh, these might be a bit red and swollen but that'll go down". When I got to a mirror I didn't see any difference in my skin and those spots that she claimed to be "a bit red and swollen" were REALLY red and swollen. I also had two tiny scabs on my chin from extractions she was actually successful at. To me, I looked worse than I did when I went in!!! Well, I just chalked it up to a experience I never thought I'd ever do and will never do again and went on my way. (I know I could have complained, but for me, it wasn't worth the effort.)

By then, it was almost 10:30 and the only place still serving breakfast was Parrot Cay. I see a trend, this was my third meal on the ship and my third time eating in Parrot Cay.

On my way to breakfast, I heard someone calling my name from the Promenade Lounge. Hoping for Prince Charming, I quickly scan the crown only to find it was my parents. They had decided to go on the glassbottom boat ride. Yippee for them - No I didn't want to go - I was hungry!! Breakfast was the normal buffet type thing, nothing exciting, but it was nice to have a quiet breakfast alone!

After I finished my last cup of coffee, I went to the Deck 7 Aft overlook to "look over" and see what could be seen. I pulled a chair down from the stack and decided it was a nice enough day and that I'd just "chill out" for a while. It was a bit overcast again, and there was a chance of rain, but the sitting down and "chilling out" was very nice, and it was still warmer than Maine, so I didn't care.

Well, I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew, one of the Cast Members from Beach Blanket Buffet was hollering down to me that I should put some sunscreen on before I got burned. LOL I shouted up a thank you (I was actually grateful for the concern) and promptly fell back asleep.

Around 12:30, I went to find Mom & Dad - they were supposed to get back around noon, but were no where to be found. I sat on the stairs down on Deck 1 Aft, by the gangway, and waited for them to return. Ev called me on the walkie talkie to ask what I was doing and to see if I wanted to join them for lunch at Beach Blanket Buffet. So, I went up to join them, got rained on, talked about our days. They had done the surial bath that morning. I asked them how it was, but that I didn't want any details. They said it was nice quality time but Pat said after she had the mud on for a minute or so, she started to itch and had to quicky rinse it off. She said you get a knock and 10 more mintues, notice. That was more than enough details for me. Sounded like a bad prison movie!

Anyway, I decide to head back to the stateroom for a nap. I was planning on hit the clubs on Route 66 after the Deck Party tonight, so I figured a nap was in order. I was SO exhausted. Must have been pre-cruise life catching up with me. I set-up the wake up call for 14:00 and had a wonderful nap before Mickey called again, I think. I didn't really answer the phone, I just picked it up and hung up.

Josh was in the room, which didn't really startle me, but I was surprised. I had told them that when they were in the room alone, to leave the Do Not Disturb Sign on the door, not to let ANYONE but our family in, and to be quite when they came in, just in case someone (Aunt Jen) was sleeping. I was very surprised they did as they were told.

By now, it's time for me and dad to go for the bridge tour and mom to go for her first alpha capsule treatment. The bridge tour was nice and mom enjoyed her treatment, but for some reason had to take a nap afterwards. LOL I told her she was supposed to feel like she already had her nap, but she insisted she was tired.

When we were done, we met her back in their room and decided that we didn't want to go shopping in the rain. (Once I got home, I found out that mom had a gift certificate to go get a free "diamond" bracelet in town. I don't know what the "diamond" was, but I would have gone out in the rain for something free!!) Anyway, we grabbed a snack from Deck 9 - cookies, I think, then went back to the rooms to change for dinner.

Tritons was very nice. It is the fancier of the three dining rooms, and my brother and father did not feel out of place without their jackets, as was recommended. For my appetizer tonight, I had Pearls of Seasonal Melon with Port Wine Sauce. I don't usually like melon, but the Port made all the difference; my main entree was Rigatoni Pasta with four cheese in a light cream sauce; and for dessert, a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Everything, again, was delicious!!

Our server, Gurkan, spent much more time with us tonight. My mom ordered the Cherries Jubliee Flambe so Chad could see it light on fire. Well, Chad had asked Gurkan for his meal ASAP, as he had to high tail it out of there for the Junkanoo Jam as soon as he was done. So, he didn't get to see the flambé. Neither did we. Gurkan served it and mom said she was disappointed she didn't get to see it on fire. So, he said he'd make her one. Now, you must understand that my mom is a teetotaler. She had a sip of wine at a wedding during the toast a long time ago and she complained that it made her teeth hurt. LOL Anyway, he wheeled the cart so we could see it and while we were watching, he grabs the alkiehol and pours some in. We all laugh, so he laughs and adds more, MUCH more. We're roaring now and he just thinks it's wonderful. Well, mom was thinking it'd all burn off, but when he did the flambé part, he didn't flambé it for very long. LOL Mom had a few bites and thought it was ok, but Everett ate most of it. After dessert, my brother asked lots of questions and Gurkan was very talkative. He's been with DCL for 3 years. A six months contract, then two months "vacation". Disney flies him home to Turkey and then if he renews his contract, they fly him back. He was actually leaving for Turkey on Sunday after the next cruise. We had lots of fun talking with him and by the time we left, there were only a few other families left in the dining room.

We had all decided that we didn't want to go to the Magician/Juggler show tonight, so after dinner we all went up to do some onboard shopping. When we were done, I went back to the stateroom to do some trip reporting before going up to the Tropical Deck Party.

Mom, Dad, Josh & I ended up together for the Deck Party. None of us were really in the mood to party, we'd have all have preferred bed, but since we're always in the mood for snacks, we went anyway. After one or two songs and no dancing from any of them, we saw the buffet line was open. To me it wasn't worth staying up for. I got a plateful of "stuff", none of which I liked, so I decided if I was going to be eating at 11pm, when I wasn't hungry, I was going to eat something good. I went up and grabbed a cheeseburger and fries from Pluto's. It was good, especially the fries, but I could only finish about half of it. Instead, we all gave up and went to bed.

Tomorrow is Castaway Cay - no spa treatments until 2pm tomorrow. I decide that me and the kids are overtired, so I refuse to set the wake-up call. Finally, a chance to sleep in.

Midnight again, nighty night.
