Pam Johnson - February 2007

This will be the second day of my current trip. Hopefully the weather will be better than the first. Yep it was.

We are meeting at 8:30am in front of MK by the monorail exit. Alrighty! I am not a morning person. I rarely get up that early unless it is work related! Especially on vacation. So after spending an enjoyable day at EPCOT and the Studios, I head back early and go to bed for this early wake up call. I figure if I get to the bus stop at PC by 8am, I'll catch a bus with time to spare to get to MK.

(YAWN) Well I'm out of bed, dressed and ready at the bus stop. Didn't have to wait too long. Arrive at MK, (YAWN) head off towards the monorail. As I approach one has just arrived. And there were Barb, Tammy and Britnee waiting. MFLers? Yep they are. So now we wait for the remainder of our group. Barb says Jud's not usually late. Well at least not for the afternoon meets! LOL we get a phone call from Tracy. Her & Jud are floating their way over to MK. So we mosey over towards the boat landing. Now the theme for the day has already started.

Here comes Jud, followed by Terry almost running to keep up with Jud and his smoking wheels. We get into the park and have a short wait for the opening ceremony and rope drop. This was very cool for me since I'm normally not there for that. I'm usually just waking up around 8:30.

Barb, being the smart CM that she is, grabs an entertainment schedule for the day! You'd think the rest of us were rookies at park touring or something! So we decide to head off to PotC. Oh Jack, you cute little pirate you - I'm on my way to see ya. The harem theme has started. When we get to the auction portion, I start chanting "we wants the redhead" Of course somebody from our group was wondering, and I said that I was just looking out for him and thought he could use a redhead addition to his harem. Okay we're temporarily done drooling over Johnny. But then Barb checks the schedule and yippee, there's a pirate tutorial coming up shortly.

But first enough time to head to Big Thunder and grab a ride. Rode this one twice. Then head off to Splash. Hey it's still a little chilly and I sure don't need to get soaked today. Sooooo after much debate as to where you get the most water, Jud and Britnee opt for the front. The more saner of the group head for the back. Yep the one's in the back were correct, the front gets more water! We got a little wet but not too bad.

So we head off to learn how to be a pirate. This was alot of fun. Take the time to catch this. The Capt. Jack we had was really a close double to the real one. I picked up a new boyfriend. He was such a flirt and seemed to forget about me very quickly. The funniest part was when they did the sword fight training, the one kid caught Mac by surprise with his sword. I got a really great pic of his facial reaction. (A link for trip pics will be coming soon).

Next we head to the Aladdin carpets. It was fun having never done this ride. Similar to Dumbo though so not soooo new. That is one thing I think is kinda sad. Disney repeating rides they already have.

Now we're off to Tomorrowland. Ride the TTA. Get a few seconds to put my feet up and just soak up the atmosphere. Next up, Buzz Lightyear. I enjoy this ride but I really suck at getting a good score. Got my best score yet but still not up there. Ah well, lots of laughs. Push the talking trash can is out so we stop and watch the interaction.

Then the harem revolts! WE WANT/NEED FOOD!!! Jud wants to keep going. Why waste valuable time eating! So not happening, he gets outvoted. So we head in to Cosmic Rays while he catched some photos and a smoke (Jud - ya really need to look out for your health - in case you haven't heard, cigarettes aren't good for you!) Jud joins us inside CR. We grab a couple of tables. Jud's harem increases by one - Terrie joins us for some fun.

We decide to catch the Family Fun parade. Didn't get to participate but it looks like it would be fun, especially if you're with a group of people (family, friends, etc).

Back to Tomorrowland and Space Mountain. Wow is it dark in there now. I miss seeing the different meteors, stars and stuff. Now it's just a rollercoaster in and extremely dark room. Of course we do this one twice.

Now we head off to Fantasyland. Teacups (only Jud and Britnee) Small World, Peter Pan Dumbo and Mickey's Philharmagic.Off to Haunted Mansion. Off to see the Castle Forecourt show. Very nice. Saw the new face characters (Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee). Look very very good. Head off to CoP.

Once again get to rest and relax. Tracy needs to leave us now. (M-I-C See ya real soon!) Some people relaxed sooooo much, they took a short nap! Well since you can never get enough of Capt. Jack, we head back to PotC for another adventure. Frontierland for the parade and then over by Crystal Palace for the Fireworks.

Time to say auf wiedersehen. It was a fantastic day. The weather warmed up a tiny bit in the afternoon, the sun even put in an appearance. Looking forward to meeting up again sometime in the future. And hopefully meeting others from our MFL family.
