Marie & Family - May 2007

On May 20th we got up around 7 to get ready (needed lots of coffee as there was a gradcuation party here the night before). We left for the airport around 10 since our plane didn't leave for Florida until 11:05am. We got to the airport and unloaded said our goodbyes to Vinny and Felicia and waited for the plane.

As we waited we noticed a great many little people waiting to go to Disney and with a hangover this was not something I was looking forward to.

We landed in Orlando at 1:15 pm and headed for our luggage. Roger from Sunray was waiting for us and he took us to the Wilderness Lodge. Our room was ready so we headed up to settle in. When we finished we went to Epcot. June, John and I ate at Rose & Crown and had perfect seats for Illuminations. We enjoyed the show completely and saw it in a different way then we ever saw it.

We went back to our rooms and I got some much needed sleep.

The next day was a lot more eventful and I actually didn't have a hangover anymore.

Day 2 - Monday, May 21, 2007

We went to MGM this morning. We rode the Great Movie Ride then on to Toewr of Terror. I could not believe we dropped 9 times. We went to Star Tours from there and then Muppets, ate lunch at the Backlot Express and back to the hotel for a dip in the hot tub.

After te hot tub we went to our room and freshened up to go to the Territory Lounge for a drink before dinner. We ate at Artist Pointe. I had Venison and June had Buffalo new to both of us so we tried it why not.

We left Artist Pointe and headed to Downtown Disney for a much needed shopping break. We have APs so we got a discount in World of Disney so we try to buy as much there as possible. Got my new grandson (when he arrives) his first Mouse Ears (who else would he get them from?).

As you can see another uneventful day.

Day 3 - Tuesday, May 22, 2007

Today is Tuesday and we have a lot going on.

We went to Epcot for the Princess Breakfast in Akershus and had pictures taken with four princesses. Afterward we called Barbara Harris and told her we were out of breakfast and we made plans to meet in the countries. We were walking around Mexico when I spotted our very own JUD. I went over and introduced myself because he and I have never met. I then introduced my hubby and daughter to him. We decided while we waited for Barbara we wold take the new Rio Del Tiempo ride in Mexico. The ride was nice because it was new. Jud even asked if we could stay on for another trip around. He took a picture of my crocs while we were going around. We got off the ride and Barbara called to say she was headed our way so we waited for her in the area by Mexico.

When Barbara arrived once again intros all around and then off to Norway but Maelstrom is closed for refurb so on we trek. We go toChina and I have to go into the store there (I need a Sushon Buddha for my dad). After shopping in China we head Germany but we have already lost Jud. We decided to stop at the Outpost for an ice cream and John got a beer (Barbara got a picture of him "waiting for the bus") and looked over at the carving shop to find Jud sitting there watching a carving being made. We went on without Jud because he wasn't feeling well. In Germany we have a glass of wine and go do some more shopping. After Germany we went to Italy for a glass of Rosa Regale Champagne (the best). From there we traveled further around the world to the American Adventure and on to Japan where we saw someone pick an oyster with twin pearls. Off we go again this time to Morocco where I just have to get in the store and see if there is anything new. Then off to France and ove rhte bridge. We hit the United Kingdom and Canada and onto the Flower Festival. We walked through "Tinkerbell's Fairy Garden" and then over to Journey into the Imagination so June could get her picture with Figment (the whole idea of going to Epcot as far as June was concerned). We rode Journey and then said our goodbyes to Barbara so she could head out. We went back to the Italy to eat dinner. When we came out Illuminations had ended but June needed to hit the store in Italy so I went outside towait for her and what to my wondering eyes should appear but JUD. We sat and chatted waiting for my group to get back together and then we all headed out. John walked ahead because he thought June and I were staying but we decided against it and walked with Jud to the gate.

Time for rest another day is coming.
