Donna Light & Family - June 2007

We left at 12 midnight on Saturday June 9th. We drove south untill about 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. There was nothing really eventful that happened in that time. We played our endless supply of Disney Tunes. We stopped for the night at the TravelLodge in Lake City.

Now, this is when things get interesting. My son discovered a roach on the shower curtain the nex morning when he was taking a shower. Now, he had never seen a roach before except in zoos. Needless to say, his shrieks of hysteria probably woke the whole place. He said later that all he remembered was seeing the shadow on the curtain. From that moment we came up with different Psychoroach references. Well, the was the most eventful thing that happened on the trip down.

We arrived at All Star Sports at 9:30 that morning. I was so glad I had booked a preferred room, although I was worried because of the conversation on the group about getting gyped out of the preferred room. We did not have to wait until the coustomary 4:00 check in. Our room was ready when we checked in. The preferred spot in All Star Sports is the Surfs Up building whinch is right across from the main building, and right near the pool. Our room was on the 3rd floor but was right around the corner from ice, vending and the elevators. It was perfect.
