Melissa & DD - October 2006

Cast: Me (mom) and DD 13 for a mother daughter trip to celebrate DD adoption.

Well, our trip starts out with our first airplane ride ever. Took off around 1:30. It was an hour late. Boy was I nervous. I was more afraid of the Columbus airport and getting lost there than anything. Got through fine. The plane was so small. I expected it to be like the ones you see on TV. NOT! It was still fun. We both loved the ride.

Orlando airport was very intimidating. We got lost a few times. We didn't realize you had to get on a tram to get to the main section but someone saw we were lost and let us follow them. Whew! Then....we got lost looking for the magical express line. Geezz, how dumb can I be. We found the BIG HAND on some old guy and realized we found it. The bus ride was nice. Our driver was awsome. The movie they play didn't work so he just did a tour guide sort of thing and it was fun. We were so excited to be on a Dinsey bus. Hard to believe we were actually going to Disney. I had resevations about going and leaving disabled hubby, disabled 22 year old and two college boys behind. They did okay though.

We checked in at the All Star Music Resort around 4:30 and finally got to our room around 6:00. Our 8 day hopper starts tomorrow so we decided to resort hop. We took the bus to the monorail and went to Contemporay and then to polyesian. We loved the Polynesian and have decided we want to stay there next time. It was so beautiful. All the greenery and the pool was awsome. We plan on sneaking a swim later in the week. Time to head back to music resort.

We are pooped. We opted to save money and went to the room and ate luke warm ramane noodles and crackers. Went for a quick swim and then to bed. Tomorrow is MGM early entry. Yahoo!
