Okay for Children: OK at best....charging 18.99 for kids 10 and up is riduculous my 70 pount 11 yr old doesn't even eat a whole plate of food. I have never been to a restaurant other then disney that considers 10 and 11 yr olds adults...though some places charge a middle price for kids 10-12.
Okay for Couples: Yes.
Be Sure to Try: Fried chicken
General tips: Price too high for what get and as mentioned...absurd to charge 18.99 for kids!!!
TheMouseForLess tips: See above prices too steep especially for kids
Extra Comments: Glad to see finally have more dessert choices but not all items seem that fresh.

Atmosphere: Excellent, fun, warm.
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes, but fun, not romantic.
Be Sure to Try: Ribs, corn bread, bread pudding, salmon, pretty much
everything.
General tips: We walked in with no ADR, were seated right away. I
don't think there's a bad seat in the place.
TheMouseForLess tips: Disney Dining Experience card Ð saved 20% ($20.49)
Extra Comments: We really enjoyed the atmosphere here; very relaxed,
nice friendly server. The food was great. The chef made special pasta
dishes for our two vegetarians, although he/she didn't really have to
Ð there was enough choice at the buffet for them.

Soup bar with chili, salad bar, plus dessert (I think apple cobbler and
something else)
Approximate Price of Entrees: Adults $10.99, Kids $6.99, my 2 yr. old was
free. Total with the DDE dicount of 20%- we paid $52 including the tip.

Food: 4
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 5. We love camping and the rustic feel, so this restaurant is so
totally us!
Okay for Children: Yes. The kids color coloring pages and they hang them up
on the wall.
Okay for Couples: yes, but remember it is not very romantic
Be Sure to Try: the ribs and the chicken are wonderful!
General tips: I always make an ADR because I have a large family. A family
size up to 4 would probably not have a hard time getting a table.
TheMouseForLess tips: you can use your DDE card here!
Extra Comments: my kids love this one! We usually do it on our down day at
the campground. There is plenty of kid friendly food here if your child is
picky. It is not fancy food, just really good "homecooked" food!

General tips: we were leaving wdw and decided to get a bite to eat before hitting the long road so we drove to fort wilderness (I had remembered how ddl'ers raved about it). we parked the car in the guest parking area and took a resort bus to the eating area (5 minute wait-2 minute drive). we got there 5 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast (11 am) and still had plenty of hot/good food to eat.
Dollarless Tip: very good value for your money! plenty of selections. everyone loved the food.
Extra Comments: our server told us that they would be putting the breakfast food away around 11:30 so they could get lunch out. so we were able to get any food before it was gone. we never felt rushed. several times up at the buffet table I was asked by cm's if I wanted more of what was almost gone. everyone was very nice especially our great server ken. our only regret was that we didn't go here before our last day..I'm sure there would have been many dinners at the trails end if we had!
