Be Sure to Try: the turkey and brie sandwich was great. Also the
roast beef sandwich looked awesome!!! The pizza is NOT the normal
type of terrible Disney pizza... it looked hand made and had a wheat
crust!
General Tips: portions big enough to share - seriously - they give a
huge amount of chicken fingers
MouseForLess Tip: small kids can share 1 pizza or a basket of adult
fingers

Food: 3-for the pizzas-they were not that great for some reason 4-DDad/DMom enjoyed the soups
Service: 3-self serve; cashier was not the friendliest
Atmosphere: Pre-scary ducks/birds: 4-we sat near the pool and enjoyed looking at the lodge. After the scary ducks/birds attached us for our food: 1
Okay for Children: Yes

Overall, ok for a quick bite for lunch. Beware if your kids are scared of ducks/birds. They attacked 3 families sitting around us as well. Very aggressive birds! Obviously stupid people are feeding them despite common sense and signs posted!
Who: The Hicks FamilyÑMe, DH, DD 5
Where: Roaring Forks Snacks at Wilderness Lodg
When: August 2005
What: Counter Service Lunch or Dinner
Approximate Price of Entrees: $6-7 per Meal. We tried the personal
pizza's, Philly Steak and Fries, and Hot Dogs
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 4
Service: 3
Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes for a quick bite
Be Sure to Try: My daughter loved the hot dog.
General tips: We were on the Dining Plan which was new at the time,
so we found it easier to just buy the meal rather then having
someone figure out how to code it in their cash register.
TheMouseForLess tips: The Dining Plan is the way to go. Nothing like
filling up on brownies and rice krispy treats for "free".
Extra Comments: There were definite times to avoid the Roaring
Forks, because it was SO busy. It is located right by the door out
to the swimming pool, so it was nice to grab a bite and sit by the
pool or on the beach.
