Who: The Pelton Family -- DH, me, DD11, DD11, DD8, FIL, MIL

Where: Grand Floridian CafŽ (Grand Floridian resort)

When: Jan 12 2007

What: dinner

Approximate Price of Entrees: $227.97 total for a family of 7

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 4
Service: 3 (efficient, but very rushed)
Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Everything was good. DH and FIL had the prime rib, which they enjoyed.

General tips: We were seated at a round table near the back of the restaurant. It was nice to have a round table, plus we were able to go out the back door to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. The kids were able to run around a bit out there too and blow off some steam. It was also nice to hang out in the GF lobby for awhile and soak up the atmosphere and listen to the piano player and the orchestra.

TheMouseForLess tips: Disney Dining Experience card Đ saved 20% ($44.12)

Extra Comments: The food was very good, and it was cool to be able to see the fireworks. The service was very rushed; I kind of felt rushed the whole meal. But the waiter was efficient Đ brought all the right food, on time. There was only one vegetarian entrŽe on the menu, and my daughter wasn't interested, so they made her one of the pasta dishes without the meat (still charged us the same price as with the meat, though; I wasn't thrilled about that). The check-in people were really nice and got my daughter some packets of honey to take with us since she had a sore throat.

Who: Judy NYC

Where: Grand Floridian Cafe

When: August 26, 2005

What: Lunch

Approximate Price of Entrees: DS(14) = Chocolate Fondue $9.99 (which we shared), house salad $5.99, Philly Cheesesteak $13.99 and Root Beer $2.19 ($39.08 with tax/tip, this was our last Table service so I paid for my meal). Myself = Cherry Coke $2.19, and Hamburger $9.99 ($15.30 with tax and tip)

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 5 - the chocolate fondue is great and this can be shared with at least four people easily, it comes with fruit and even marshmallows and chocolate dipping sauce is warm and good. They have great hamburgers, best burger I had while I was in WDW
Service: 5 - Our waitress was nice and even rang up our order separate so I could pay for one with cash and the other with the dinning plan
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Chocolate Fondue

General tips: You could probably share a meal here easily

TheMouseForLess tips: get the chocolate Fondue for dessert and you can share it with at least four people and that will be a $10.00 for four people.
