Who: The Thornton Family. Mom, Dad (both on low carb diets) and 16 YO dd (VERY picky eater)

Where: Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe

When: Feb 9th 2008

What: Lunch and dinner

Lunch we ordered 1 Rotisserie chicken meal, 1 rib and chicken meal and 1 chicken nugget meal, plus drinks and 2 sugar free brownies. We are all pretty picky, we love good food and don't enjoy a lot of theme park food. So, we were extremely surprised at how good this was!!! Everything we ordered was great and we were very pleased. It was much more food than we could eat so the apples and brownies were packed up to go and served as a snack later on in the day.

Dinner we ordered 1 Chicken Ceasar salad,1 club salad and 1 chicken nugget meal along with 2 more brownies and drinks. We were again pleased with how good the food was!! It was exceptional for theme park, counter service food for sure and again more than we could eat to we had snacks for after the Pirate and Princess party.

Approximate Price of Entrees: it cost us about $40 for 3 people each time. The rotisserie chicken is less than $10 and the ribs and chicken was about $14 and the nuggets are around $7, which is pretty comparable with fast food. Brownies and drinks were a little more than $2 each.

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 5
Service: 5
Atmosphere:
Okay for Children: Yes, its in a good location to stop for a quick bit when traveling between lands or waiting for your Fast Pass times on those fun new rides in the area.

Okay for Couples: Yes, it is REALLY not for anyone looking for quiet or romance, but a couple looking for enough good food to be full for long a afternoon in the park would be happy with this.
Be Sure to Try: Sugar Free brownies are the BEST!!!

General tips: Look for Push as your going in and out. We saw him as we were heading in and he is GREAT fun!!

TheMouseForLess tips: Split a meal!!! Especially if you have kids!!

Extra Comments: Make sure you check all of the menus, each section has different offerings and we didn't notice that the first trip.

Be Sure to Try: The toppings bar was great - it is kept so neat and the items were FRESH! No wilted lettuce here. :)

General tips: Try to sit in the main dining room. The entertainment is fun!

TheMouseForLess tips: DH has a big appetite, but DS and I should have considered splitting the meal

Extra Comments: We chose a late lunch - so the restaurant was not so crowded. We had great seats for the "show". Unfortunately, I think Sonny is set at one volume level which works well for a crowded room.
