Rose and Crown Illuminations Viewing Comments
We did this when we were there in January. This is what happened:
The night we had PS (for 7:30)- we checked in at the Podium 30 min. early- so
we could request an outside patio table for the purposes of watching
Illuminations - and were told that they STILL couldn't guarantee one- as
it was VERY CROWDED- whatever table came up when our name was called would be
it.
Well, as my bad luck would have it- when our name was called- you guessed
it- it was for an INSIDE table! I tried to ask very nicely if we could wait-
explaining we really wanted OUTSIDE- as it was my Hubby's birthday (which it
was!)- and was not given any satisfaction- just a polite "sorry". We chose to
walk away- as the whole point was to stay for Illuminations.
What we DID do- and this is the best tip I can give you to be successful at
this- was re-make a PS for the NEXT NIGHT- which was going to be an
"off-night"- and I hoped far less crowdwd! (NOT the weekend) AND I WAS RIGHT-
we were given our CHOICE of tables the next night- and enjoyed Illuminations
very much from our comfortable outside table! So, if you can- try to choose a
night that might be less crowded- you'll have a MUCH Better chance at that
outside table!
As far as the food- well, it was good- not great! Not our most memorable meal
at WDW- but well worth it for the great seats for Illuminations!
Tapestry of dreams can not really be seen from the ROSE & CROWN well in my
opinion- besides- you'll want to get up front to put your DREAM COINS in the
nets! --Flo in NY
