Food: 3.5. Okay - it is with great pain that I type that the food
is a 3.5. We had been waiting for the double lobster tail dinner for
months ever since we decided to do the meal plan... but I have to say
it was nothing special! The lobster tails were average sized, and
they had clearly been frozen and had a slight chewy texture. Also
they had no flavor other than the butter. Served with rice pilaf
that tasted out of a box. Also green beans were good but oily. The
shrimp cocktail was LARGE and good, but again - nothing special. We
also got spinach artichoke dip that we thought was "okay." Nothing
special - I think all things considered, Red Lobster would have been
better. There was nothing at all "signature" about this meal - we
did get a good value being on the dining plan, but even if we are on
the dining plan again in future years we will not eat here.
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 4. I would say the actual restaurant atmosphere is a 3
because it is stuck in a 1970's time warp. The view from the back is
a knockout and it is a 10!!!
Okay for Children: "just okay" The dessert choices are a "buried
treasure smoothie" made with bar mixers (???) or fruit. We chose the
fruit. The kids also had an appetizer choice of clam chowder (?) -
so we got it and ate it. Was decent.
Okay for Couples: yes - nice views
Be Sure to Try: Key lime pie was VERY GOOD and VERY TART if you like
that. But - I would say skip this restaurant and go anywhere else
instead.
TheMouseForLess tips: If you are paying for your meal, it would be good
to have a nice bowl of soup and split an app. I would not eat a full
meal here and pay for it. Save your money and go to Earl of Sandwich.

Be Sure to Try:The Pot Raost it was so very tender and the portion they
gave was very good size.
General Tips: No special tips just if you like sitting by the window was
really cool your able to watch the boats on the lake.
TheMouseForLess tips: The portion sizes seemed much more then some restuarants
I've been in.

Be Sure to Try: The spinach artichoke dip was one of the best I've ever had.
General tips: I think this restaurant is much less crowded at lunch time
than it is at dinner time. We were seated right away around 1:00 in the
afternoon, and there were quite a few empty tables around us.
TheMouseForLess tips: The items on the dinner menu are much more expensive than the ones on the lunch menu. I would recommend going at lunch time if
possible to save money on the entrees.
Extra Comments: Definitely stick to the seafood items here. The french dips
weren't as good as the other items that we ordered.

Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Our food was plain at best.
General tips: We did not have ADR's and were about the only people
in the restaurant at 6pm.
TheMouseForLess tips: I can't say enough about the Dining Plan. We are
a family that prefers sitting to eat, rather then eating on the run. I would have felt completely cheated if I had to pay for this meal! I guess my Mouse For Less Tip would be to eat somewhere else.
Extra Comments: The hostess seemed like we were bothering her when we asked how long the wait would be. The waitress ignored us most of the time. In any restaurant, I am disturbed to hear personal conversations between the wait staff while I am eating. I really didn't care what they thought of their manager and their tips.

Be Sure to Try: The drinks!! I had the Fuzzy Captain!! Unreal!!
I also had for food :) The shrimp and crab pasta. It was really really
good! DH had the Fench dip which was good too!
General tips: We had an ADR, but most likely would have been seated anyway.
The lunch crowd is a little slow.
TheMouseForLess tips: The food is really good for the price you pay..
Extra Comments: The food was excellent. The service even better. We watched
the boats in the water while we ate. You felt like you were in the water
here. A great place for an afternoon break. And did I mention the DRINKS????
