Okay for Children: Yes - the bright animal murals on the walls are enchanting, and
good kids options on the menu
Okay for Couples: Sure, there is plenty of seating divided into different rooms, so it
doesn't feel cavernous
Be Sure to Try: Good, decent individual pizzas
General tips: Avoid this restaurant right after Festival of The Lion King lets out -
it's the closest counter service restaurant to the theater.
TheMouseForLess tips: My husband got a salad and I got a pizza and we split both.
Extra Comments: With so many AK counter service restaurants having outdoor
seating only, this is a good bet when it's rainy.
Who: The Pelton Family -- DH, me, DD11, DD11, DD8
Where: Pizzafari (Animal Kingdom)
When: Jan 9 2007
What: Lunch
Approximate Price of Entrees: $33.07 total for a family of 5
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 3
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 3
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Not really, lots of little kids.
Be Sure to Try: The kids liked the pizza, the adults liked the paninis.
General tips: It was difficult to find a table. Stake out your place
first, then go get your food.
TheMouseForLess tips: Disney Dining Experience card Ð saved 20% ($7.76)
Extra Comments: Food was just OK. The setup they have for ordering and
receiving your food is very efficient. The dŽcor was cool; lots of
bright paintings. It would have been nice to sit outside, but there
were no available tables.
Who: Riordan Family - dh, myself, dd-7, ds-6
Where: Pizzafari, Animal Kingdom
When: January 25, 2006
What: Lunch - 2 cheese pizzas, 2 pepperoni pizzas, 1 strawberry lemonade, 2 diet cokes, 1 orange drink, 4 chocolate cakes.
Approximate Price of Entrees: DDP, would have cost approx. $50.00
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 2 (my family did not care for the pizza - think Boboli crust and spag. sauce with cheese on top - very bland)
Service:3 (counter-service) doesn't really apply
Atmosphere: 4 - nice, colorful, ample space for families to sit with strollers
Okay for Children: Yes - children love it.
Okay for Couples: Yes - nothing romantic here though.
Be Sure to Try: The chocolate cake was good - about the only thing we liked.
General tips: Plenty of space - several rooms to sit in.
Mouseforless Tip: You do not need to order an individual pizza for each person - 2 people can share 1 pizza and be satisfied.
Extra Comments: My son desperately wanted pizza and we had not seen pizza anywhere in WDW since we had arrived so we gave this a shot.
